4 pages of discussion as to how to fit a geo in a melee speed run, only because some guy said you can in theory hit cap on hybrids if you stack every buff under the sun.

Are you guys okay? By the time geo puts up bubbles you could just be killing them with physical WS.

But that won't let you take epeen screenshot of capped dmg on mobs with 50 dt.

DgVoodoo2 doesn't "implement" anything like that and instead it just sets flags being sent to the DX11 API

In theory you are correct. In practice, there is a big performance difference between enabling mip mapping explicitly in dgvoodoo and having it set to either app driven or off with driver settings to enable it globally for dx games.

This may vary between cards and drivers. For me and nvidia drivers, off in game and dgvoodoo with driver settings per preference works best. YMMV.

Thanks so much for putting in the effort to update this!

I know it's not a straightforward copy/paste either.

Cheers, hoping this keeps up-to-update for future game updates such as the Limbus weapons!

I heard all of the codes don't work anymore though, except this one I guess? I wanted Moss Green Grisaille for the Capacity Points +15% and Murrey Grisaille for the Experience Points +15% (the only furnishings that give that high moglification boost) still. I wish they would release at the Curator Moogle too but that's another story.

The same goes for anisotropic texture filtering.

If you have ingame fonts set to high quality and put tex filtering it to app driven it will apply anti aliasing to the fonts and make them look bad. Set it to anything else and they are fine.

I have that running right now and it doesn't do that. Your GPU drivers have anisotropic texture filtering set to enhance or override in the general profile. FFXI's engine doesn't handle anisotropic texture filtering very well and it should never be used.

I'll do some testing because I remember "HQ Fonts" being janky and just an attempt to stretch the font texture loaded from the DAT. FFXI's fonts are just regular textures, not an uncommon design pattern from that era.

If you go back one page, you'll see Sechs posted images of the issue. I bumped it cause I'm making some mods that are impacted by this and for whatever reason it seems to help with it.

I'm in Shibuya basically every week, so if there's something in the store that people want and we can figure out a way to transfer payment, I'm happy to pick it up.

Shipping is probably likely to be a mess, and possibly expensive, but if you just want the code and want to pay retail price and not a scalped price it's no skin off my nose.

If you pop E Naakuals and then leave the area to do E boss and/or Aminon, will they still be there when you re-enter from the boss rooms?

They sure will!

You can only claim one code per character, and some items aren't sendable.

Will never stop enjoying shooting everything with a camera. Decazoom4lyf.

HOLD UP! I don't want to derail here, but I won't take Capuchin slander. You sir, are not fit to be on the same server as Capuchin. I know Capuchin, and I can say for a fact he would never have to be TOLD to gargle balls!
And he won't give you a *** either. I swear to god this weird hero worship you people do is really pathetic. Find a better use of your time.

It's not super hard to do, but being able to consistently do it every night def requires a bit of both luck/skill imo.

I typically just wait until his 2nd auto attack and then move to about 11-12 yalms out of range and that gets me to avoid it about 50% of the time, but avoiding it 100% of the time would be nice.

This is what essentially works for me but I flash from like 20~ and then run w no movement speed gear once he starts chasing me... if I get him to move a little from the center/his starting point, THEN draw me to the center (bc his Draw-In brings you to the center, rather than to him) I still can create enough distance between us since he's moved a bit from the point he draws me in to.

Removing all movement speed gear is what seemed to make this work most consistently but I still get dispelled once in a while.

Our tank has it down to a science. I’d say he gets dispelled once every 20 pulls maybe?

By off I mean mip map off in both XI game settings *and* dgvoodoo.

The in game implementation is bad in terms of looks. The dgvoodoo implementation is bad in terms of looks *and* performance.

Driver settings are separate from either of those.

Try them one at a time and take videos - obvious visual differences.

DgVoodoo2 doesn't "implement" anything like that and instead it just sets flags being sent to the DX11 API during translation. If the game sets the flags then it gets passed along, that is what "app driven" means. FFXI's engine is written at the older DX8 level and that was a very different era then now. The entire reason we use this is because of how poorly modern DX11/12 API's handle the ancient DX8 stuff.

FFXI's original mipmapping implementation is perfectly fine, for DX8 that is. It can't hold a candle to modern algorithms though. FFXI dev team broke it with an update so you kinda have to use the Windower fix to get it working right again.

Is the code from the Priceless Remembrance Blu-ray 4 or 5 spots? The management site has 5 boxes but mine has 4 sections of number/letters on a slip. I don't remember if I bought it used or not since it's been years.

Updated to Version 4.7

We noticed while fighting the Limbus NMs that with their 8000% movement speed the sleep icon would come off immediately after Sleep landed. Hopefully have fixed that, but haven't actually been back down there since to fight them and be able to test it though so we'll see.

The cast time bar inside the Self Action bar is a minor addition but pretty neat imo.

Bahamut.Navius said: »
3) Similarly, can we customize the text shadow alpha and color in the settings.xml?
Yes. Finally.

Enjoy, and have fun!

  • Added 'show_cast_time_bar' option for the Self Action bar. Displays the position of the bar when an self action completes, allowing a visual indication of your fast cast.

  • Added 'drop_shadow' color option into the text settings. Controls the color of the drop shadow for all text.

  • Added an indicator to the Aggro List for monsters who have their SP ability currently active.

  • Adjusted sleep/petrify/bind wearing off detection to delay half a second before recording the mobs initial position data. This should be more accurate for mobs that are moving quickly when they are slept/petrified/bound and reduce the number of false positives that clear these debuffs immediately.

  • Adjusted sleep/petrify wearing off detection to also check the mobs facing to determine if they have worn off.

  • Adjusted Job Abilities with Additional Effect Damage (ie Soul Jump and Spirit Jump) to display the combined damage amount.

  • Fixed Impact not showing up on Monster Debuffs. Recent update had broken this.

There's dozens of claws, just check shiva's claws or blurred claws or denounments anything that's super obviously curved
By RadialArcana on 2026-03-26 16:34:16
I checked earlier (spec with godhands) and they were almost all in, only taru were out. I assumed it was a bug, but maybe they intended it to be that way if other h2h also do it.
By RadialArcana on 2026-03-26 16:09:18
yeah please, godhands are kind of like a hand with fingers and the shards are supposed to curve into the leg like a hand but for me they go the opposite way. I wanna see if it's just a bug with dressup or something.
By Richybear on 2026-03-26 15:55:08
I do, but won't be home for a couple of hours. Assuming you want screenshots of engaged/idle type thing?
By detlef on 2026-03-26 15:42:20
Honestly think it's just luck. Our tank claims to have a foolproof method, and when he gets dispelled it's because Aminon didn't move right or he messed up his pathing. Also know someone who's just starting out on Aminon avoid the dispel without doing anything special.
