Turban is free just as much as Aurore gear is free, why not use what's better when it's equally easy to get? :p

Turban is free just as much as Aurore gear is free, why not use what's better when it's equally easy to get? :p
Obviously we will meet people who are going to be stubborn about their beliefs in how they want to play/what they choose to wear. To be honest, I do not understand why you are afraid of spending your Imperial standing points ~ I have my turban AND 200k ISP that only get used when I Nyzul Isle or have to go to Einjhar.
However, everyone plays their way and I respect that.. But do not say it's because it will "break you" or you will "miss the coins" because from experience, you will never know those coins are gone.

You have spent every one of your besieged ISP? <.< I doubt that..
it seems to me like you did not actually want advice on this matter, so why bother posting?
Edit: Even if you did spend your points , farming /crafting to BUY the coins is still imo worth getting the highest haste hat in the game for dnc.
Further Edit: Mention it to your friends, I have funded my friends' W turban for them when they needed a couple extra coins.

Isn't the main aim of MMOs to better yourself? Make your character the best in it's job as it can be? So why exactly play to half *** that? You're not gonna be having much fun when you're being kicked out for someone better.
I can understand if it's a job you don't care about, but considering this involves the Turban which near every job could make use of.. It seems kinda stupid not to just party on birds, get exp and ISP, and then get Turban.

Solo situations: Turban or O Hat
Bonnet should really never be used in any situation other then lack of one of those two pieces.
Edit: If you dont agree look up the video of a DNC soloing Bune. Solo using O Hat NOT bonnet

Well. If you're fighting EPs/DCs and your return rate for evading attacks is more or less equal than not wearing an ohat, then by all means go for your hybrid solo piece, however, IMO it's always been one or the other: Hit faster for better DPS and more weapon skills (assuming you're not taking hits), or you're fighting something hard enough where you need the DEF (or in some cases Eva).
Hybrid pieces are silly and very rarely justified.

Only time I would understand using a Bonnet is if you were a Black Belt mnk w/ footwork and poise shoes. 4+12+5+5, even then I think using Usu legs + walahra or usu mask + byakko legs would be better...

I think I will be using Denali Bonnet on Monk once I get Poise Shoes and use Foot Work. With Poise (5%), B Haidate (5%), Black Belt (12%), and Denali Bonnet (4%) I reach haste cap and the 1% extra from Turban isn't needed anymore, I think this is a situation where Denali Bonnet is better than W Turban.
