You have an excellent point. I've met the guys who only treat it as a bedroom fetish and they're definitely missing something that those with the furry identity have, that deep feeling of passion or something like that lol.

I happen to be a tiger-wolf hybrid haha (I know I know, so cliche). But how did it come about? Well, I was born in the year of the fire tiger (in chinese zodiac) and I've always been fiercely proud of this fact (despite me not caring for horoscopes). I'm also a Leo haha.

I don't have a suit (yet) I'm a job-less college student and if I were to make one myself it'd take a lot of research and preparation... and money.

I have accessories but they're only generic fox stuff that I bought at an anime convention. Ears/tail/leg fluffs and hand fluffs. I'll take a picture at some point in the future if you're curious. It's all scattered across my room/car/possibly parents house so I'd have to get it all together @____@;

I'm just your super-common wolf. XD I didn't even know it was a "popular" species at the time, I just felt it fit me best in terms of similar general traits.

I'll have to dig up a pic sometime I did of myself, not as good quality as my old ref but it's my updated look.

It's awesome when you fit with your furry by trait. To be honest I don't really have the animal behavior traits like some therians, I really wish I did though. Ridicule and social stigma be damned hehe.

I have instead the connection through attraction and identity by life circumstances.

I don't think I could do just ears/tail/paws. XD I'll do tail-only (I have my mate hold onto my tail 'cept when I'm up there for visits because of my parents... god I can't wait to graduate so we can get to moving in together!) but beyond that I wanna go partial (i.e. stomach-up, paws and feet) or full suit.

When I say general I mean it. Mostly loyal, small-pack mentality, and I've always found wolves to be just amazing creatures. I'm really pissed off that they just got removed off of the endangered species list. In other words, wolf hunting season just reopened. >:(

I wanted a full or at least partial fursuit, but I settled for what I have at the time lol, he got super busy shortly after and I didn't have 600-1000 to spend on a partial/full fursuit. Joecifur is awesome though, he did a Fenrir and Carbuncle fursuit that I wanted so bad XD. I also have a GIANT bell collar to go with it all >.>

That's the piece I forgot. Working on saving up for a collar, and I'm hoping to get a metal plate on the front or something like the one my 'sona has. xD It's got the kanji for " 'Til the end" carved into it, real symbolic for my mate and I.

I like how your fursona came about to be honest. There's a few furries I've met that threw themselves into a hybrid fursona just because it looked/sounded cool. Like the dragon/wolves I keep seeing and weretigers make me think the Anita Blake series, since they have all sorts of were's =3

I'm just a plain ol' tiger lol, I can't explain how I chose that one, it just felt right. Tigers are known for their beauty and strength and also being mostly loners, since they're not like lions which are known for their prides. Although I should say I have the heart of a canine lol, well I'm super loyal like dogs are anyway, but I identify better with felines [I'm a cat person too, go figure!]. My Chinese zodiac says I'm a fire rabbit ; ;, fursona of a tiger, zodiac of a rabbit, I am my own prey >.>; but thats another thing altogether.

I knew someone that had a wolfdog... it was pretty awesome but since he lived in an apartment it didn't work out so well... but it was still awesome.

And that's kind lame but I guess it's kinda good sign of how the species has bounced back

My friend just got a wolf puppy, I'm not sure the exact breed it was bred with, he just calls it a wolf puppy.

I know exactly what you mean by the lion pride mentality. Even though I'm a leo too, I think it just doesn't fit. (although wolves have packs too). But to get into specifics of it is fruitless... as it's a more fuzzy and difficult to grasp, "gut feeling" matter.

Isn't it after February or so that a certain animal sign starts? My friend born in January 86 is an Ox, but my mate was born in May that year and is a tiger [his fursona is an Arctic Fox >.>] I understand the "gut feeling" part though, without going into detail.

My mate was actually an arctic fox, but then he said a fox "felt too small for him" (despite him being a twig and shorter than me. x3) and he changed his 'sona to a folf. (Fox/wolf hybrid, yes, he's one of those weird hybrids but not for popular reasons!).

Yeah, the chinese zodiac actually does start and end sometime in January, February or March. In 1987 it was apparently January 29th.

KITTY! I always wanted tiger cubs myself, but they don't belong as pets, not unless you've got like 15acres and can afford the care, the massive amounts of meat they eat and other things, even then I think they still should be in the wild.
