Nier's music has been some of the best music in a video game that I have heard in a long while. (In my opinion anyways.) Classical up to Techno remixes. - Awesome stuff.

Surprised nobody has posted some Earthbound music yet.
This one song in particular I find to be so fitting, as it epitomizes anything relevant to winter or snow. Whether it be having the day off from school on a snow day when you go out to play; or hiking something as vast and majestic as the Himalayan mountains.

Very few games let you continue after you have defeated whatever source of evil and save the world. Typically your last action of motion or gameplay is the killing blow of the final boss. And at best you'll get a cutscene showing the end and the peaceful fruition of your efforts. But only Earthbound lets you walk into the world you brought peace to. How calm, serene and happy everyone and everything is, all to this melody. Until finally coming home to your mom to call it a day... Truly a perfect ending if I've ever seen one.

Pure nostalgic ambient bliss.. kick back with a brew and chill.... will have you wanting to dust off your old SNES fo sure =)
EDIT: Didn't realise this was a repost...but listening to it again can't hurt you....one of the best VGM tracks ever in my opinion =) especially for when it was made and on the SNES where you rarely heard anything like the quality RARE mustered from its games ^^
I really dont care much x4-6, don't get me wrong, Ive played and beaten them, and thought they were good, just absolutely nothing compared to the first 3, I remember playing x5, and got to the water stage, and thought it reminded me of something else. >_>
I wouldn't call this nostalgic, but listening to this whilst running gets me super pumped up.
*** jumping across buildings, throwing knives at any guards who notice I'm being chased, diving off into hay bombing it away, throwing a smoke bomb to get cover.
