Davoi Coffer Key

Posting this because I want to see if I'm doing anything wrong here. I've spent now 3 days (6-7 hours total) killing orcs both inside Monastic Cavern as well as the center island in Davoi and still no key. I've been killing the champions, dreadnoughts, dragoons, and farkillers which according to ffxiwiki are the ones that drop the coffer.

Been getting tons of testimonies, but still no coffer key, and all this with TH3. I just want the damn hunter jerken!! lol. Can anyone here who has farmed this confirm how and where they got it?

I don't think you should be killing the ones in Monastic as it has a seperate coffer

and those sound like the wrong mobs, lemme look

Is it possible you have a key already ?

Check all your inventories just to make sure. :3

Sounds like you have terrible luck..just keep at it.

I farmed this recently for the BLM AF quest with a DNC friend.. all i had was TH3 also and i got the Coffer Key with 2-3 hours so they do drop just sometimes can be stingy

All i can suggest is keep trying.. i know its a pain but hey i just camped Crawler's Nest for 9 days to get an Elemental
for the BLM feet quest.. just a bit time consuming.

Edit: I got it from one of the orcs on the middle island in Davoi.

Keys drop regardless of whether or not you have one - if you do, it will drop and then give a message about being unable to attain, etc.

Sounds like you just have bad luck or are on the wrong mobs (I didn't look them up).

well Day 4 will begin tonight. At least the gold beastcoins I've been stealing are keeping me from jumping a cliff.

Just keep at it. Just a streak of bad luck is all. You're killing the correct Orcs.

Champions, Dreadnoughts, Dragoons, and some other drops the key whether its in the Caverns or on the central island. The ones in the Caverns have a higher drop rate.

This key *** blows. Every time ive had to farm one, it has always taken me at least 3 days of straight farming several hours a day. I dont know what it is, but this zone is the worst for coffer key. I usually farm right inside Monastic Cavern and zone out into Davoi near the church and kill those waiting for repops.
