Quick Question On Synergy

I'm coming back to FFXI in a week or so and I see they released a new craft. I haven't played in 6-8 months so I'm a little confused about how Synergy works? Is it a whole not skill that you have to level like smithing or..?

Yes but you need other crafts as well

Alright, so I'm guessing you can't acquire certain types of gear unless you have a craft to make it then? lol I'm DRG and my WW is 70 XD...

you don't need other crafts to skill up synergy. To synth cool stuff you do. But for skilling you don't.

Do you need certain items for it? like stuff that drops from NMs or something?

Synergy is current capped at LV50 but the new update coming soon will have something to do with synergy, possibly uping the cap.

I was just about to post what Talonn did. Synergy is very easy to level, I went from 0-50 in about 2 days. Follow the guides and it's simple. If you have alchemy somewhat leveled, you can make your own fewell rather than get it from the NPC.

It also helps if you have a crafting apron. I think I went from 15-41 off my apron. After that, mythril leaves synth.

Good thing is you don't lose materials if you fail to produce the wanted item.

oh and another note, if someone comes to me with materials to synergy an item, I can do it for them, granted it's not a complex synergy.

Someone had 0 synergy and tossed in some gear and I did it for them....they just have to know to take the item out when it's done

WW is still expensive to level post 70 soo XD i need to find an alternative XD...... for now o.o
