I don't think this is fair. I mean... although I'm gay, I don't shiver in disgust when I see women - just as I would be offended if a lesbian looked at me and shivered. It's rude and dismissive.

Sometimes it's hard to tell. :( There is an unfortunately high incidence of misogyny in certain sectors of the gay community.

@scrummpet I don't know the dorms but when I get back go my desktop I'll check with people. I know moser is where most the people I met stayed. Apartments are easy better herr though. I never went to A&M just blinn I have 2 associates degrees and close to a third, before I dropped out. I don't feel like going into why I waisted my intelligence but A&M is on the very bottom of the list for when I go back to school next year, hopefully for chemical engineer (micro) and maybe math minor since I'll be taking game theory for fun.

Just to clarify, I have nothing against Transsexuals or anything of the sort, I am just a little shaken by "manly" woman (same with overly "girly" men) because there is an line of decency (in my opinion).

I like strong women.
Women who are strong at heart and are mothers to all deserve to be praised. (e.g. Shayka <3)
Same goes for men.
Men who are capable of being able to connect with their "feminine" side and are able to feel comfortable with their own masculinity should be praised.

Transsexuals, I like.
They have taken the step to identify themselves as the other gender and are working towards becoming their "true gender."

Overly girly men (I'm talking about Beverly Hills, Pre-Madonna type gay men) and overly masculine women (I'm talking like crazy dyke rent-a-cop women) just put me in an uncomfortable position and are usually the stereotypical crowd for LGBT images.

Again, I have nothing wrong with them, I've met a really awesome overly masculine lesbian and her and I are actually really good friends. It's just kind of uncomfortable because I feel like I am talking to a woman who is more masculine than I am?

Femininity and Masculinity are such..relative terms. The whole notion is silly because it places a pedestal on the idea of being masculine. Or that being manly is somehow better because being a man is better.

Now, that is too say I can't stand overly flamey gay guys, but I can't stand most people no matter how they act for too long of periods.

Though, I don't exactly get their reasons for how they act, if these women act more manly because they want to be men or the same with the guys.. I don't know. I'm happy with who I am. Me saying that though is definitely going beyond my knowledge or experience because well I literally don't know how other people think. So it would be unfair for me to say that.. but I do know that if women dress like men, from our society's whole conception of gender differences, then they are just conforming to the idea that "manlier" things are in essence.. the more dominant or not better.. but another word I can't think of atm. Anyways.. its anybody's choice to be how they want, whether or not they let society's ideals take effect in their decisions.

I don't cringe at the sight,.. well I cringed when I saw this guy who bleached his beard, and then this guy who tattooed every square mm of his body. But that's also a societal issue in itself haha. ..I lost where I'm going with this. Love everyone! That's my idea.. yeah haha >.>
