Don't forget to grab an Auster's Staff and Bat Earringsx2 with Blind Potions. Great way to get even more out of your EVA if you're supertanking or something of the like.

SH+1 or Antares Harness also.

Appreciate all the gear suggestions, but I'm not made of gil. Lol Getting that mantle nearly broke me. So, Antares and SH +1 are out of the question unless I win the Mog Bonanza. Lol

Caster's mitts are also effective in areas outside of own nations control. This is bad if I were asked to tank Charby and Windy owned Elshimo. I'll keep trying for Denali hands because they're free, and they have -Damage Taken.

And the Emissary Boots I looked at before, though I'm not sure, and I'm curious to know if anyone has tested this, but what's more valuable? Evasion Skill or Evasion? I was told Skill until you reach a certain level. Then it's all Evasion. Any verifications? Tests? Results? (I'm interested.)

Ermine's Tail is pretty nice, too bad Phoenix doesn't do MMM NM's often. -_-; Tariqah +1 would be something I'd look into. Though, I'd need to save up a little more, that'd put me down to about 150k left over. :/ I'm a big spender. Once I get gil I spend it and I *HATE* that about me. Lol

Unfortunately EVA is one of the few things you can't afford to half-do in this game. Either you evade or you don't, there's no partial evade, so you need as much skill as you can get.

I'm not trying to start an e-argument, but is there proof somewhere that Skill > Evasion? I'm really curious.

It's something that's really hard to prove because there's very few situations where you can get similar relative stats like that. For instance, it's very hard to find a belt with +10 EVA skill or a neck with +7 EVA to compare with Scouter's Rope or Evasion Torque, but the general way to think about it is that EVA skill is about 1.25x as useful as EVA. That is to say, EVA Skill+10 = EVA+12.

I was mainly alluding to the fact that you can't just settle for cheaper options when going for a full-on EVA set.

I can see that, but I'd much rather *have* an EVA Set than not. Call it a task. I had to tank Charby once and I killed real damn fast. Him and I have some unfinished business. Whether I do it on THF or NIN, I'm tanking that SOB.

Didn't see this, but I have 2 Bat Earrings and a Wind Staff. Friend has an Auster's I'm sure I can borrow when I need to super tank something.

I just got a really good laugh out of Bears In Games on You Tube. I don't know if anyone else watches the channel already, but I highly recommend it. The narrators are engaging and entertaining, not to mention fairly cute :3. Well have you tried throwing merits into evasion as well? They help a little bit though atm I forget if each merit adds +10 evasion or not (im at work writing this so i can't really look it up lol). Other than that I think you're doing just fine :) I don't have Emmisary boots either but the Denalis are good; I have the hands also ;)

Personally your Evasion is excellent at your level and your Parry is within doable levels which you can lvl up easily. Try looking around youtube for some ways to skill up parry if you are not sure of where to go and what to do. A shame we're not on the same server or I'd team up with ya and we'd lvl parry together :-P

I do have a question for you though; how is the Blau Dolch? I dont have one yet, I mainly have a Heart Snatcher, Bart' Knife and Magnet Knife *soloing*. Since the Dolch dropped down in price I thought i'd should get one.

Yeah, my Evasion is fully capped and fully merited.

I enjoy it. It was definitely worth it. With the Dakini coming out with the STR/Atk, AGI/Eva, and DEX/Acc, you can expect the price to drop some. Though, imo, 178 Delay, 16 atk, and 5 accuracy is still hard to beat.
