With Alienware youre essentially paying for the name. Also not a fan of the fact that its associated with Dell. Had nothing but horrible experiences with them and a friend of mine turned back and sold off his Alienware after it gave him months of problems. If you want the best bang for your buck just build one. There are a lot of options out there.

But my husband's little brother had one, and just a couple months after he got it, they discontinued the one he had and stopped carrying all the parts for it. When his had a problem shortly after that and they basically told him {That's too bad}, I decided I'd never get an Alienware. Even if their machines are good (which his was most certainly NOT) they have rotten customer service. This was a couple years ago, so I'm not remembering the whole story correctly, I don't think, but I do remember him being very upset with Alienware. I'm not disappointed at all, but I still wish I had gotten the Alienware M17X instead. If only for how amazing it looks.
