Thank you for stopping the trolls. Everyone knows Whitney had problems, but she was a fierce advocate for LGBT and a very talented woman in her prime. I hate to see anyone's death be used as a joke. It's disgusting.

Yes Krizz....
Mucho applause. It pokes me in the wrong area when people are just so tasteless. I'm like this was like the best singer in the world who has just died people! Like Celine, Mariah, Aretha, Whitney they area all up there.... but whitney has that Bodyguard Soundtrack!!

Not trying to ruffle feathers, and maybe I'm really cynical about Whitney Houston, but do you ever stop and think that maybe some artists attach themselves to the LGBT community so they can get recognition. Maybe some artists and agents know there is a market, and will suck it dry like the prepackaged Disney/Nickelodeon pre-teen garbage that spews out every year?
I'll take Elton John over a lot of people for the pure simple fact that he lived the confusion. Elton John was married to a woman at one point before he revealed his homosexuality after the divorce. John went through years of people questioning his sexual orientation before all of this. HE is an incredible artist, and I will be more saddened by his death than the death of a teen queen gone bad.
An advocate for the LGBT is an advocate end of sentence. That's like saying "no thanks" to support. The fact that Whitney Houston was such a vocal Christian and many of her lyrics talk about God etc. AND the fact she went out of her way to perform at the one of the largest gay prides in the US- New York City and make a public statement, that says something.
Also most gay men don't buy records because some article in Advocate magazine. We buy records for the same reason straight people do, because of taste or its something we like.

Okay...Hopefully Ted Nugent's agent alerts him to the fact that the gay community is just recruiting advocates willy-nilly. I heard Rick Perry's had a bad run lately. Maybe he should throw in his support. That dude LOVES God!
Not gay, but my cousin and a few friends are. Some people are more of an insult to the gay community. May as well be on the same tier as "college lesbians", but whatevs...It's open season, right?

You're right, some people are more of an insult to the gay community. Here we have someone claiming to be a supporter of gays while making incredibly heterosexist/biphobic statements.
Just curious to see how many of us actually play FFXI. **Now, let's try to keep this clean, please don't respond if you have nothing nice to say.** :] Don't be shy, speak up! :D
EDIT: You don't have to be gay to post in here, if you want to be apart of our conversations.. feel free to join in! Don't be shy, we don't bite.. well some of us do! :] Anyyyyyways~! This thread has become a home to many from the LGBT community & even some from the straight community who are open minded and enjoy chit-chatting with us, :] so let's keep it drama free, we deserve a place where we can be ourselves without being made fun of/harassed.
