Going to this guy I like's 18th birthday tonight :3 So excited, but other than that I'm trying out for all-state choir at my school! Not sure if I'll make it since there's so many good people at my HS, but I'm still pretty excited about it. Not sure how many people in our HS made it last year but I know it was quite a few. Here's a song they did!
I loved All State~ I did the regular one and All State Show Choir for four years, it's so fun, good luck to you! And one year I had a girl who was a lot better dancer than I was and she didn't make it, so you never know.
I don't sing... When I sing children cry and somewhere a fairy dies.
I'm in the same boat on this one, but I was always attracted to people that were in band or artistic. On a side note, I just moved to Vietnam to teach English, and I feel like there is no sense of homophobia here. It's so confusing because there are so many people that want to take me out for coffee(guys and girls), but I don't know if it's because I'm a tall foreigner or if they might be interested :(. Had an interesting case last week where a guy asked me to put my arms around him on the back of his motorbike so that I would be safer....ended up getting pretty excited if you know what I mean, and that was just awkward when there's nowhere to move haha. Maybe I'll figure it out soon, but in the meantime I'll just be blissfully ignorant :)

That sounds like so much fun!!! '-')b
I'm so happy you are happy there!
Are you openly gay? It generally helps~
For the record, openly gay does not always mean flamboyant. (Glares down the stereotypes)
Hey, I've seen this thread for a while now, but everyone seems to know each other pretty well and I wasn't sure how to join the club haha. So, I just wanted to say hi and maybe make some new friends :)
Also, hi new person! /welcome
I felt the same way. Everyone's been fairly nice though, they're not like cliquey or anything. :P You can jump in whenever you want! :)

i always thought vietnamese was interesting since it used special accent for its tones, i've never looked into it though, since most asian languages are pretty difficult.
i myself am most interested in the devlopement and evolution of germanic languages
If someone wants to bring me some of that cheesecake I'd love you forever! As for being openly gay here in Vietnam, no, not yet. I've told a co-teacher, but I've been told by some students that it's really frowned upon, while other students say that it's ok. Until I know which is correct I figured I'd just continue teaching and try to keep my mind out of the gutter(not an easy thing to do when you're teaching college students...and the group of guys that have taken me under their wing are all soccer players...grrr!)
P.S. I love your avatar Aeronis, but while looking it up on youtube my computer died...was totally worth it though!
Just thought I'd chime in and say hi. 2 of our LSmates are right in the middle of Irene. One of them being my boyfriend. I expect a text from both of them tomorrow when they get up... -_-;

I heard from a vietnamese friend back in high school that gay guys are the result of the mother consuming too much soy during pregnancy causing the child to be effeminate and well, gay.
That's what he believed anyway :< Dunno if it's reflective of all vietnamese people though.

Just curious to see how many of us actually play FFXI. **Now, let's try to keep this clean, please don't respond if you have nothing nice to say.** :] Don't be shy, speak up! :D
EDIT: You don't have to be gay to post in here, if you want to be apart of our conversations.. feel free to join in! Don't be shy, we don't bite.. well some of us do! :] Anyyyyyways~! This thread has become a home to many from the LGBT community & even some from the straight community who are open minded and enjoy chit-chatting with us, :] so let's keep it drama free, we deserve a place where we can be ourselves without being made fun of/harassed.
