I'm Sorry, Were You Dissing Canada? I Couldn't Hear You Over My Health-care Benefits.

Lol Random title I know but I wanted an excuse to say it after I was invited to that group :O Anyways, all I've been hearing the past few days is that we shouldnt host the olympics because:

We don't have snow
We live in igloos
There's NOTHING special about Vancouver

What are your thoughts about the location of the 2010 olympics? And yes I know one of those reasons is fake and theres only 3 total but I've heard them a lot, so I still figured it's worth posting about.

My thought is "WHO THE *** CARES WHERE ITS HOSTED"
as long as it isnt in freakin Sudan and there is snow there, go for it.

I think its cool, I mean i think its always in Canada but w/es :P I think its better then the summer one comingg up with there crime rate and all.

Where are the Summer ones being hosted? I think we epicly failed this olympics, we promoted that we're native + we like Ice with those Totem Ice Poles, when really Vancouver is a lot like LA. I thought it was an amazing opening ceremony, unfortunately the only thing it did was promote the stereotypes of Canada.

I think the total disregard for human safety would be Canada's major concern atm.

I mean, the guy who died because of an unprotected pole....

I wouldn't take it too personal really. Remember back in Beijing with all the pollution in the air? Someone always needs to find something to *** about when it comes to the hosting city ;P

And as a side note, our health system is not all it's cracked up to be -.-

I couldn't hear you over all the extra money in taxes you are paying for said health care.
