Hello.
I'm just wondering if the Name "Cloudstrife" is available on FFXI.
I searched for it but couldn't find any of this on all servers.
Only Names like "Cloudstrifez" or "Cloudstrifex" etc etc.
Anyone know this?

Even if a name does show up on ffxiah it doesn't mean it's still taken. I called my mule Midas and apparently someone used to have that name because they show up on here.
On the flip side, just because it doesn't show up on ffxiah doesn't mean it's available as ffxiah only shows people who use the Jeuno/WG AH and plenty of people have mules who never use those AHs. Use XxXxSephirothxXxX! You'll be cool, origional and get all the ladies.

The real question is, why would you even want a name like the one you asked about? There are already so many players out there with abbreviations of said name and other old FF characters.

Eight years into a game, every feasable name is taken. My advice is be original, since people with XXNAMEYOXX never really get taken seriously. Take it from me, I spent 90 minutes with someone I know trying a ridiculous amount of names ranging from .hack//roots (Alkaid, Tabby, etc) to Trigun (Milphy and a few others) to a few video games. Everything was taken except odd looking variations. tl;dr, be original, mang. People remember names that stick. Not necessarily true, they would have been taken but it doesn't mean those players that chose "Naruto", "Goku" and whatever else all those years ago still play and you find no one else bothers to try them because they figure they'll already be taken. If an account/content ID is inactive or cancelled that name becomes available. Negative, Megu. Only if the character is *deleted* is the name available. I can play for a week then cancel my ID. The name is retained until the server closes. Cancelled IDs are not name openers. I think even banned names are retained to the server. >_>;

I think even banned names are retained to the server. >_>; Are you positive on this because I swear I heard people talking about changing their character names by deactivating their main char, waiting until the next month so it was unsuable, making a mule with their main char name, re-activating their char and they get prompted to change the name? Invaderzim is a great name , I'll take these haha ^^

We need more info in order to make a name for you. What race are you? What are your primary jobs? Do you like root beer? Do you believe that robots will enslave humans in the future? These are all important factors that go into the name creation process.
