A stupid comment over in the KC thread got me looking at some AH prices of stuff that never really sells on AH, and THAT got me to wondering, what's the highest AH sale you've ever seen?

For me it's this: http://www.ffxiah.com/item.php?id=13630 (may have to switch over to Odin server)

About 3 or 4 years ago the highest AH price I saw on titan was a triumph earring +1 selling for 212,121,212
I only remember cause it's a silly number lol Since then more have sold and isn't on the AH list anymore
That seemed like SOO much gil to me back then and.. still is a bunch of gil now!

More of the fact that you said it seemed like so much (past tense) which would mean you don't view it as a lot now, but then you came back to say it's still a lot.

Would have been better to just say 200m is a lot of gil and not reference that as past tense.

No, it sounded like you thought it wasn't a good amount.

When you talked in past sense "At the time it seemed so much...".

First I was like..

But then I was like..

Kraken club on titan has a 180,000,000 price history but can't say it was a real bid either since the one who bought it was a known RMT, so I'm assuming they bought it from themselves.

I don't care if they're real bids, the one I linked (which most people wouldn't have changed to Odin server to see) is this:

So yeah, that's a hell of a lot of gil, present, past of future.

I wouldn't doubt a normal player could have that much. I used to keep a good 20mil each on two different mules back when Elemental bead market was good and everything costed alot more. And I hardly played back then lol. Like mostly just 10 hours a day 2 days out of every 7. THe others were eat sleep work. If there was time for eating and sleeping. In fact a few days after peace cape in the SS sold I had to take a very long break and came back to the bead market being full of fail.

I talked to a GM once that played back then and got every claim of LoO for like a month solid. Yeah he was rolling in the gil after that

Holy ***is that the going rate? Damn gil used to cost so much less. I knew a friend who says on his server back during inflation it was like $1~1mil. Which sounds kinda crazy to me but damn gil was like water back in the day.
