A while ago.. not too long ago but, a while ago.

Check your filters under options... there's two new ones to prevent those spam tells.
But I honestly think that they aren't working

they dont work because they are now using an integer system for letters, where they bypass the filter using the websites name, say something generic like MMORPG they write it as MMJRPK(j=0,k=g) and the letters change so the filters cant really keep up.

Gil sellers are really dumb if they think people are going to take the time to decipher their messages.

I don't know why keep doing it and don't just give up. I can't imagine someone actually thinking 'hey I should goto this site and buy gil' after getting a tell like '094338 mg94340 904944 m o n e y . c9m. '

They really should have taken away the ability for free accounts to send /tells unless the person sent you one first (or is on your FL).

What's really frustrating about it is that the people who use the spam filters are the least likely people to actually buy their gil/services, and yet they're making such an effort to bypass it and reach them.

They partially work. You should not receive tells of RMT pretending to be a GM when you have your filters on.

But yeah for gil selling, barely works :/
