He is irritated and doesn't care about me but i still love him.
Because he is black (color i wanted). So is there a chance to make him love me again and get the whistle to use him or should i tell the chocobo guy to make some nice barbecue with him?

Serious note: My first choco was neglected for about 8 months due to me taking a break. It auto-retired and never got whistle also. Cupid worms are a quick way to raise affection, maybe you still have a chance at getting your whistle if you can get the choco's affection back up to regarding you as it's parent. Good luck :)
You can still get a chocobo whistle and it will work even if it hates you. It will be pretty slow though. If you just want it to love you, stuff it full of cupid worms. If you want to try again you can always get a chococard from yours and breed it with another colored one for a higher chance of getting the color you want. ISNM eggs have a higher chance of being colored too if you don't want to breed one. You can also get a whistle for your current bird and when you raise another one you'll have the option to switch which bird your whistle calls.

Good luck :) yea the npc gave me the quest, now i gotta recover its stamina for a walk in pashow (sp?) marshlands I did this once due to not being able to play the game for a couple months due to billing issues. It only took like 2 or 3 days to get it back to max affection. :P Just gotta feed it some Azouph Greens (or Sharug if you got a weird chocobo that doesn't like Azouph; that seems to happen rarely) and take it on a few walks every day.
Chocolixir will refill it's stamina, but only if the choco isn't already completely full, or you can just wait until tomorrow.
I have a choco egg, but haven't started raising it yet. I dun wanna neglect it like I did the first.

I still haven't been able to bring myself to try raising another one I did this to mine on a mule, because I always forgot she had a choco xD Traded 2 cupid worms and her chocobo thought of her as a parent. then just did a few walks, and if i didn't find it the next day would just give it chocoelixirs til i found the whistle :)
I once got an egg from ISPNM,turned it in. 6~8 months later, I talk to NPC, and [OH SNAP! I HAD A CHOCOBO] so i got hella lot of CS's. saw it hatch, be a baby, be a teen, see it happy sad mad hungry emo etc, turn into an adult and leave home..... LOL
funny thing is, he turned out to be a black chocobo~ raised a 3rd one shortly after that, and made sure I visited him everyday, and turned out to be another black chocobo =P I want a blue one now Barbeque Chocobo
