I don't believe they have any luck value at all..but then again I think I still have a 4 leaf Mandy Bud in Storage somewhere which I've had for years, and I can't ever get myself to /toss it yet..so who knows.

Wild Rarab Tail, 4-leaf Mandragora Bud, and Lucky Egg are all used for their own respective quests. I believe SE even stated in an interview that the 4-leaf Mandragora Bud in particular did not have any hidden "luck" effect. That being said, I carry all three on me at all times. :o

A thf in my ls ate a 4 leaf mandy bud when we were fighting Simurgh and we got Striders (back when Simurgh dropped Striders, not Trotters). Pretty sure it was just coincidence because I have since tried that, with no results.

it does not give luck. what it does give you is something to blame when something unfortunate happens.

For THREE years, I carried a Wild rarab's tail, a Four-leaf Mandragora bud and a Lucky Egg. I decided to eat the lucky egg one day because I was doing a PCC run and was ended up 2/3 on the drop. Haven't tried it again but I still carry around that rarab's tail and mandragora bud.

They've specifically said those three items do not improve your odds at anything.

When people wear lucky bracelets/necklaces/charms/socks/shirts/undies/whatever in real life, do you think it actually makes a difference?

Actually, RL lucky charms are probably more effective than in game ones, because it gives people that believe in them the confidence to succeed, the game is pure chance.

I carried all 3 on me for years and never noticed my luck go up (felt like it went down, but it's probably just coincidence). I even went as far as buying a Millionaire's Desk and Trump Crown because of the rumored TH+.

I think luck is a mind over matter thing. If you have the items, you feel more confident about drops, and then they do. Usually when you feel insecure about a drop, it never does.

As I was saying, this sort of thing works in real life, but the game doesn't give a crap how confident you are.

That is true. XD I still find the best means of "treasure hunter" is to stop caring whether or not that particular item will drop. Alcohol helps here. =X

Sounds similar to the old Pokemon "cheat."

Hold A + B and you'll always catch the Pokemon!

If you catch it, then it works. If you didn't, then you just did it wrong. xP

I kept a mandy bud in my inventory too, though. xP

SE have said that the only items in the game which increase treasure hunter are thief's knife and assassins armlets.

There is no hidden luck stat.

On behalf of all the Bards doing the Opo-opo crown quest. Eating a Lucky Egg just makes you an idiot and lotting on it so you can eat it for luck should earn you a swift kick in the ***.
