Explain This Skillchain Damage?

i started fighting as soon as my npc wore, of course, before she even engaged, and ive seen this happen quite a few times where the ending gekko or rana will produce a lv 3 skillchain that has damage that exceeds the closing skill.

i was starting to wonder if box step was doing it so i threw some more box steps on and ran some tests, nothing to avail..

maybe it was because of desperate flourish? i usually try to land one to make sure all of my rana hits actually land.. since gravity has the -20 eva or whatever it is

but yeah thoughts? anyone know why it does this?

Either day bonus or weather. Also skill chain...chains will increase the damage dealt.

i think your saying the more you chain the higher the cap for damage is, which is true, but strictly for a 2 step , level 3 skillchain, it shouldnt be that strong

Giga are strong to ice, and take less from it, Gekko is Distortion based ice/water. Darkness however is wind in there which they are not strong to?

was there 3 ws's involved?

The more WSs used to make the final Skillchain, the more damage it will do. It was also likely due to weather or day.

no there was only 2 weaponskills, i explained that in the post XD

Gorget wont affect skillchain dmg. Well not directly

i dont pay attention to day and how it effects damage, but from what i saw in upper delk. is the chance of duplication of exact ws > sc usually lands and some times it can multiply a bit more now that i question days and weather i might go up and see if there is noticeable difference myself.
