Ok, I'll take this topic seriously for a second.

Online petitions don't work because:

1) It's extremely easy to fake a bunch of names to get a higher "signature" count.
2) SE doesn't care what we think.
3) Online petitions in general are considered a joke.

I'm getting kinda tired of these people say this game is dead blah blah blah. Doing a server merge right now would do more trouble than good. It would screw up so many people and linkshells with event times ect ect ect. This game is not in the graveyard yet, Yes its true no one really does exp parties anymore, but for the most of the population we are all beyond leveling a job to 75. Many people have multiple 75's and dont wonna spend the time/gil to level another one, they would rather being doing end game activities with there linkshell. This is not the same game as it was 2-3 years ago. For all of you golf players this game is on the back 9, but most certaintly not as dead as all you people think it is. There is a different type of population in the game now that are mostly concerned with end game.

If you are new to the party well then unfortunatly your in for a long road to 75 mostly alone, this game is much easier to level solo than it has ever been before so there is really no need for a conventional type of party. My best advice to all you merge the server types go level a non "useless job" and get into a linkshell that is willing to do things with. The days that you guys are trying to bring back are gone probally forever in this game.

This game is not dead and there is no need to merge servers yet it would really do more harm than good, if you dont like your server go change to a differant one and half the reason this game is so called "dead" is too many of you people are spending all your time being trolls on these forums rather than playing the game.

If all the trolls would stop complaining on these forums are started actually playing imagion how many more active players there would be lol.

SE really doesn't give a ***about this game anymore. Until it's REALLY on the verge of collapse, they don't plan on acting. They release updates every almost 3 months now, instead of the six-eight like they used to. Nothing useful is added, mainly just placebos. There are no original events anymore (remember fighting the bulls...?), as well as absolutely no new blood of players coming in.

Look at the sales of the Vana collection. And even most of those sales were people *with* FFXI wanting the miniexpansions they missed, a backup disk, or a Nexus cape.

Off topic that's still kind of on...SE cares so little, there wasn't even a fanfest this year. Server merging will not happen until it is vital to keeping any server open...which is far from this point.
