My THF WS Sucks!!! (i Need Help)

my WS really sucks and it's embarrassing... >.>; i will show you my gear set for Dancing Edge somebody please help me and tell me how i can improve. btw... I was in Nyzul Isle doing a 16-20 and i did a WS on a mob... 3 ppl shook their head at me cuz of my WS damage. LOL that hurts.

Feet: Dragon Leggings: Dex+3 Agi+3

Totals:
Dex - +42
Str - +11
Agi - +27
And WS sucks??? How?

Stack more STR, you need more STR to break through mobs def.

Here is my WS set and in Nyzul, since you used that as an example, I can do constant 600-800 DE without SA or TA and rarely drop below 1k with them.



EDIT: Yeah forgot to mention too stack ACC over anything else for multihits, since you can do any damage if you miss mobs. Also, here is my Anwig stats too *Note it was built for RNG but WS acc helps with Multihits too*

As I've been told, ATK/ACC will also do more than DEX and AGI for a WS on THF since they're multihits.

And STR has 0 to do w/ defense. Attack does. STR has to do w/ fstr (Str vs VIT) which adds base damage. You get 1 attack for every 2 str, yea, but if attack is what is compared to defense. not str.

It takes 4 str to raise your base DMG by 1 (base dmg i don't mean if you do 900 dmg you'd do 901 instead, i mean if your weapon is DMG 33, then 4 str would make your weapon DMG 44). With 30% mod on dex, dancing edge takes about 4 str to raise your WSC by 1 (ws mod). 1 WSC = 1 DMG. As you can see, 4 str adds 1 dmg and 4 DEX adds 1 dmg. This is BEFORE snk attack. Also, 2 dex gives 1 acc, which is better than the 1 attack you get from 2 str when ur acc isn't capped.

When you DO have sneak attack, for every 1 dex you have, the first hit of your WS will have 1 extra base DMG as a bonus, and the rest will still get 1 DMG for every 4 dex from the WS mod.

Dex > Str unstacked when acc uncapped, and easily > str whne stacked w/ sneak attack.

DE Needs more ACC.

What about snipers ring? I use raja's/sniper's ring, would the dex+5 ring be better to use instead of sniper's for DE?

So... what should i do. Add more Dex? Max dmg on a Moonfang Warrior was 792. tell me some of your DMGs on these and other mobs

Specifically for your gear, you're probably better off using forager/amemet+1 and spike earrings vs what you currently have. Drones do nothing for raw DE and SADE and 15atk is probably better than 3dex in most cases.

Since it is nyzul, ACC shouldn't be a huge issue, are you eating atk food? With everything being DCish except for NM's, you should be able to get away with meat in there. And do your WS's just suck on the bosses in there or on regular mobs too?

In Nyzul Isle, Ulthalam's ring is going to win. Outside of Nyzul Isle, I dont mind giving up 1 Acc for 4 ATK. I havent looked into the DEX+5 ring because of this, but I would think that DEX+5 (When stacked with SA) would win out over Snipers.

Add more ACC.

Edit: I forgot Love Torque as well. Not sure if it would beat Soil Gorget but it would beat PCC.

SA DE on Moonfang would usually be around ~900-1200 for me. (No Dagger Merits)

This does bring me to my THF Because I don't feel I ever made a good WS set for it. I leveled it mostly to get TH4 and to farm.

Right now, im using

Moogle head with wsacc+15, STR+4, Ancient Torque, Brutal earring, Hollow earring
Enkidu body, Enkidu hands, 2x flames
Amement+1, Warwolf belt, Enkidu legs and Enkidu Feet.

This is for DE btw. Not sure how it changes for Shark Bite and Stab.

I think were just using DE as the default ws here :P

I do have lava/kusha ring set and the belt from bella, not sure if those would be better to use because of acc+attk.

Not sure if i should work on heca or if enkidu is good enough.

I just made this for you to look at, this is pretty decent gear to use for THF WSing.

I have Amemet +1 but i figured that i was supposed to stack up on dex...
Right now i have equipped:
Head: O.Hat
Neck: Chiv Chain
Ear 1&2: Coral Earrings
Body: SH
Hands: Tarasque Mitts
Ring 1&2: Sniper
Back: Amemet +1
Waist: Potent Belt
Legs: Dragon Sub
Feet: Dragon Leggings

I know people are going to laugh at me for this but DE also has a CHR modifier if I remember correct. You would be smarter going with STR and ATT than with CHR but that might be something to keep an eye on. Not positive on exact stats of my THF WSgear but I think I have +15STR +35DEX +17AGI +6CHR +15-20ACC. I did not add gear for CHR myself but if i had a choice between gear that added +3CHR and had 1 less DEX then I took the CHR gear. Thats how I got the +6. I dont have the best gear by far but my avg WS without SA is around 700-900 (depending on hits landed) on EM. With SA on I have seen 1100-1300.

Use Dragon Harness over SH, Dragon Harness even beats Hecatomb Harness for SADE and SASB.

and i have merits i fail as a thf!!! +3 on Dagg and +2 on Crit

ok i started using some different gear and got instant results
so far this is what i tried:

Head: OHat
Neck: Chiv Chain
Earrings: Coral Earrings x2

Ring: Scorp x2
Back: Amemet +1
Legs: Dragon
Feet: Dragon

Heca harness kinda fails on non mercy strokes ws. Anyways this is what I got for generally DE and SADE. Gives me a grand total of +31 str +29dex +7agi +32 acc and +.1ftp and +10wsacc and +16 att. Well and double attack and +11store tp. It works pretty good though I could use heca head/feet and maybe legs. Could also use switching out my suppa and blood ring but I don't like using multiple maccros and I'm still using ig maccros. Foragers is very situationally weather it will be more dmg than cuch even in capped acc so I keep on full time. Could probably use some more attack but it's hard to cut some the str and dex lol.
