1. Uninstall any Microsoft drivers you have installed.
2. Unzip and install
3. Run the Setup utility in the Programs menu.
4. Open FFXI config options, go to gamepad and set up your buttons.
left trigger is button 11 and right trigger is button 12
Enjoy!
This would be awesome if it didn't force you to pay for an account to download stuff.

YAY!
After like, two days of reasearch, checking a bunch of links, finally got it working, In the end, a freind of mine helped me through it, after two crashes, one blue screen of death, and some odd configing at the end, this link work the best. (My skydrive link at the top of the first post) Thank you all for helping me through this, and I hope this helped a few others as well :)

Thanks for reporting back, I tried to use XBCD awhile ago on a Vista machine and just gave up the hunt to get it to work so it's nice to know it works, if not a little complicated. lol

1. Use Firefox for your browser.
2. Use the addon Skipscreen, you wont' be sorry.

Well, Sadly I need to pull this back from the graveyard.
My girlfreind has recently purchesed a PC, (Upgrading from PS2 for FFXI) and I'm having issues with her LT/RT not working correctly this time. I have tinkered with it for a while and all I have been able to get everything else working, but the LT/RT.
Reviewing this forum and all the other information I kept incase this ever happened again, I noticed that from Caiyo's post on the first page stating that it takes a few additional steps for Windows 7, which is what shes running. I kinda already figured that but I played around with it some more but I'm so unfimilar with Windows 7 I can't even make a dent in my situation here.
So again, any suggestions _(._. )_

So xpadder works with windows 7 and ffxi with a 360 wired controller?
Heys ^^/
I desided to see how the game felt with a controller vs mouse/keyboard, So far, I gotta say its pretty awesomesause. One issue though that has left me spending about six-seven hours reading past threads, etc.
As most of you know whom use the controller yourselfs you need to gain a different driver since your PC thinks the LT/RT buttons are for the Z axis or whatever have you.
Most forums and threads say XBCD and XBCD made by Redcl0ud is the best way to go, but alas, it dosnt seem to be something that works anymore, or at least is difficult to obtain.
Now after such a long search i'm kinda fusterated with the thing but i really would like to enjoy this controller, I have no issues besides right now my macros are the LB/RB button and it feels kinda akward, something I couldn't get use to, anyone want to hold my hand through these last few issues. {Reward} {My First Born}
