I've mostly finished up an public version of a gearswap tracker I've been using for some time. It's called ottoswap





Here's how it works.

Install the ottoswap-bridge addon, run it get a sync code -- and plug that into the website. That acts as your person directory for gear and the addon will hoover up all your gearsets, augments and some other things and ship it off. From there you're able to visualize, refine, and share everything online. Sync changes directly back to your gearswap luas in gearswap/data. No more out of date guides, just share entire sets with ls mates on discord or ffxiah. As it grows the community section will start to populate so you can see what other people commonly run for the same set.

What data do you collect/keep and how do you use it?

Since most setups are the same for windower (Windower/addons/gearswap/data/*) it goes and looks there. It'll take all the gearsets it finds there and post it via HTTPS . That sits in SQL and gets updates as you augment / get more gear. The only reason I collect it is because it's too expensive on the client to push per use and for me (I'd hit basically any free tier of whatever cloud service doing that) so I just dump it and diff as things change. Then when you wanna sync things back down, it updates the gearset.lua in place and pushes it backdown to the relative path it found it in.

As for your question "How do you use it". I sell it obviously. Do you know how many people are interested in buying your gearsets?

Pretty cool interface. Since you asked for glitches, I noticed that elemental resistance icons aren't displaying (not that it really matters, because the values are all the same on Warder's/Carrier's.

Thank you! The elemental resistances is actually already on my list. I'm having a hell of a time figuring out how to actually get them from the game (similar to augments which are really really not straightforward). I'm going to look into it.
