THF TP 2026

Sub looked dead so I thought I'd share a weird DT/TP set that keeps you safe without killing TA rate, and keeps the 3 common TA dmg pieces. I'm not claiming it to be the best, just fun.

I suppose none lehko ring users would have to switch the sherida earring to medium upgrade alabaster earring in order to cap haste.

I like to see Adamantite armor sets. It has strong defense but seems to get avoided due to lack of haste, which should be easier to compensate now.

Adamantite armor doesn't get used in TP sets because it doesn't make sense. If you're a THF and tanking something, you probably don't need that much DT to pigeonhole it into a set. Just use a higher MEVA option and slot in DT in rings/back/r30 alabaster. If you're not tanking something, you'd rather have higher MEVA than the DT.

It's a bad TP piece, full stop.

Obviously it's not top tier TP, it's a defense piece with top tier -DT, HP, DEF and MDEF while still providing decent ACC to land hits.

Wonder if there is a scenario where you could make this armor work together with Regal Gloves.

Also, despite this being the THF section my comment wasn't specifically for THF only. I like the availability of more haste in slots other than head/body/hand/leg/feet so that equipment without haste, like adamantite armor, can be incorporated more easily. The extra haste and -dt on null masque is also nice.

Brother, you just said to use Regal gloves (a piece you want to lower your DT amount, so you get hit harder, for better TP gain) along with the highest DT body in the game. That logic is extremely sound. Can't argue with you there.

I mean, its not bad for 2023. In 2026 we are in the Justice/Duty era for thief now tho. Set totals +25% DT with out augments. I'm not even gonna mention the augments . . .

Can someone explain the immediate e-*** for the Duty set?

I'm not saying its ***, but it needs R30 be great. At ~12 matters per month, you're looking at 2 1/2 months to R30 one piece out of 5. I dont think I've seen any documentation (atleast I dont remember seeing it) of where the StoreTP and Triple Attack augs start appearing.

This is not great for THF. I didnt cherry pick the legs, the opinion holds true for all 5 pieces.

Just new gear hype, even if it isn't really practical to get or plan around atm (or anytime soon).

Because the pieces come with max augs when you compare them, clearly, granted if its like sworn i think the traits come earlier than youd think.

Kinda like alabaster earring comes with stp+5 when put into sets

Every piece in the new sets require R30(20+) to be great IMO. None of the base pieces really move the needle far beyond current options, unless you're looking to replace like, for example, Volte legs/Ashera Harness on BRD TP set with base Revelation legs/body, in which case it's an upgrade. The augments are what sets them apart, though. So the base Duty set is not incredibly impressive for most/all jobs on the set, but would probably be an immediate improvement for a starter player on those jobs, compared to anything they might currently have. Someone with R30 Gleti's body/legs/Relic AF+4/Malignance/Nyame likely have nothing to gain from the base pieces.

Now once you start adding DA, STP, Subtle Blow, and TA on a single piece of gear, there isn't a question. The set is absurd unless you're flat out blind. You can argue using AF+4 is better for THF for more critical hit damage, but IMO THF's biggest downfall is that most of it's TP pieces are not great defensively. Duty set provides an extremely tanking DD set that doesn't drop you too far below in HP, Magic Defense and Evasion, while adding amazing melee stats. It sort of splits the difference between Malignance/Gleti's/Nyame by incorporating benefits of all 3.

Zorak has updated BG with their augments on Duty Crown up to R30. STP shows up at R16, TA shows up at R20. We can probably safely assume the other pieces follow the same pattern.

Well if you few the regal gloves gimmick in a vacuum then sure, don't wear any -DT. In reality I imagine you do want to manage the incoming damage for obvious reasons and that's where the -DT and extra HP should come in handy.

The less dmg you take, the less effective regal gloves become, as is the case for much of the dmg > tp gear. If youre stocking up on dt then the gloves are providing minimal value over basically any other basic tp gloves. So why would you put that into a set to reduce dmg giving it the worst value.

Be better off maximizing evasion to play with gandring Cs bonus as even something like 500 dmg is 100 TP? Though i guess with limbus' bloated hp/some high sources of dmg that could have some merit maybe. Wouldnt consider it the norm though as far as dmg received
