The exaggeration is insane.

Not sure how is that an exaggeration. Considering rest of the set and storetp with Samurai roll you are around:
80%DA (with Laphria) and 120 store TP before feet.

That's average ~539TP from Jump without feet slot

With AF+4 you suggested, it's average 577TP. So +38TP gain.

With Ostro it's 633.4 so +94.4TP gain.
Almost 2.5 times more gain than your alternative.

Last time I checked, when one item in FFXI was 2.5 times better for something than other, it was by far the best

50 tp every time you bother to use jump (ignoring the DPS loss due to JA delay) is not "by far" better.
Better, sure, if we ignore JA delay delaying the next WS, but in an actual parse, basically irrelevant.

Please tell me, what is "far"? What is your parse going to be with these feet over AF+4 ignoring acc, attack, STR, etc?

100.1%?

You are playing idiot now.

First of all like 3 people said to you it wont delay your WS. You can jump below 1000TP to get WS EARLIER not LATER.

We are talking in a scale of one JA and one equipment slot. Obviously it wont push your whole DPS by much, but this game is a matter of getting small improvements wherever you can, so they all add up to big improvement.

Oh dear, Simon dropped his mask and resorted to personal attacks because he knows I'm right. ITT: 0.01% dmg is BY FARRRRRRRrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!111111

Oh, now everyone has Laphria right... and... we're fighting Locus Crawlers? Come on, spend hours to prove me wrong Simon. It will be as pointless an endeavour as carrying the boots, but we all need to find meaning in life I suppose.

Probably 90% of BIS items in this game wont add more than 0.1% DPS over next best thing. Most of them are also probably few % better than the next best thing. Here we have an item that is 2.5 times better than alternative and you try to say it's not worth it and it's not by far better.

I call you on playing idiot, because I genuinely don't believe, that you can't understand the difference between
"This item is by far best in slot for the JA"
and
"This item will increase your dps by far"
You simply trolling at this point, so I will just stop here, I don't have time for that.

There really is no DPS loss unless you're using it with < 500 TP. If you use it with > 500 TP (probably 750 if you're 1handing it), you end up with enough TP to WS and can WS instantly.

You are acting like the 2 second JA lockout applies to your ability to WS too, which it doesn't.

Also of note, Jumps don't feed tp which is another good reason to have a good jump set.

Also can confirm Jump can speed you up as long as you are timing it productively but if you are just mashing it whenever it is far less effective.

Call me crazy but I've always used jump to fill a gap left to ws faster when applicable

Here's you playing the idiot. "2.5x" is absolutely meaningless. If you were right you'd have put it through your sim already. In fact I bet you already have and found out I was right.

I calculated it manually. It's pretty simple to calculate averages for this. There is no jump simulation in Kastra sim and I definitely won't make one to prove you anything. I have better things to do :)

Those of us who did the whole SAM/DRG Soboro remember that Jumps can proc multi-hits for full TP gain. Jump sets are just basic TP sets, ignoring haste and with the one or two Jump +Base TP items that WAR can wear.

Assuming this is Naegling, so 75 base TP per hit, 150TP on a DA proc. The +40 from the boots makes that 115 TP on the first hit, 190 TP on a DA proc. 26~53% increase in TP return just for those boots. The gloves may be similar though they seem kinda annoying to get ahold of.

I've tossed the hands at least 5 times, and for whatever reason I seem to always get the from Gobbie Box or random Vagary when I'm 79/80 inventory slots. I use the feet for DRG because I jump a lot, but I've never once remembered to bring them along for WAR.

With that being said, I'm in the same boat as Lugado and only ever use jumps on WAR to fill the gap to get me TP for my next WS. Shedding hate and not feeding additional TP are small perks. I almost never use it otherwise, especially in fast paced fights. Better is better, so there's no arguing the increase on them.
