Has anyone gotten a "Belligerent Bang" message since the update? I've done a handful of Venus/Mars orbs and have not seen a single message, it seemingly has been replaced with the new verbiage about there being loud sounds still left to be made. Talking to Greyson, he doesn't mention the mechanics behind the "new sounds" (unless it's buried in a new option, I only saw "Belligerent Bang" option).

***I had a theory that one of the messages actually is an indicator of a Mimic right next to the last one you just opened. On two occasions, I have gotten the message "You have a feeling there is a loud sound left to be made". Both times, an adjacent chest, it was the Mimic. Probably completely random, but not ruling out one of these messages giving clues as to where the Mimic might be.***

Didn't see any belligerent bangs, just the new messages. I don't think they're tied directly to where the mimic is, I have at least one run on record where I got the hint on six consecutive chests, and in the least useful case the mimic could only be adjacent to five. Pretty sure the hint messages just keep going until the first of: you open chest #8; you find the chest the hints are indicating; or you get bitten by a mimic.

Might be worth keeping records of what each individual chest is and which one triggered hints to see if any sort of causality can be established... but since the messages seem to exist primarily to troll us ("your intuition was wrong" seems to happen a lot more than "look at that, there's the box you were looking for") I wouldn't be surprised if it's just random.

Yeah definitely could be just 100% troll messages to throw you off.

The only difference I have noted in the new BB system is that the message used to appear from box 3-5, but now I've seen it after opening the 6th box.

It kinda doesn't matter because of the 9th chest upgrade. It's possible that one of your two remaining non-mimics was the chest generating the message, but it gets overwritten by the upgrade (possibly downgraded?) if you pick the other chest.

Can't even get anything other than a death on my orbs... What a time to be alive!

I updated the trove drop list on wiki

I put murky and aggregate coffers under LT with verification tag, but if anyone has proof of them being from trove and what tier they are, pls fix.

It prob needs cleanup too, making and tidying wikis isnt in my skillset.

Also, I have a separate question for this pool. Which item came from LT vs ITG? Regal cuffs ITG, Volte Body LT?

Seems to be way more things that trove says than belligerent bang.

There are also differences in the punctuation at the end of the statement.

Not sure how to post a pic but my last Venus run started with. Thud "You feel like there's a huge sound left to be made...?" then

Loud Thud and then no text. Next chest I was mimic food.

An earlier run had similar text but I am pretty sure that it started with different punctuation. However I did notice on that one that after a loud thud the text hints went away. That round I was able to get all the coffers open (not the mimic) and the terminal was also a loud thud, no rainbow chest but gold. So maybe when the text goes away that means that is the best you are going to get?

On another orb, a Venus I think, I got a messages saying something like you think there is an impossible to gage.. something remaining. I got this message several times but when I got down to 2 coffers + terminal remaining it gave me a different message saying something like "Apparently your hunch was wrong" and it was just a gold chest.

I did get an ITG Loud Thud yesterday on a Venus but that was a terminal plate /toss.

This morning on a mars I also got an ITG Loud Thud with at least 1 regular loud thud and this one gave me dark matter, Ra'Kaz. Saphire, dark matter, and the Hoxne Ampulla.

I do think that the words have more meaning this with trove now.

Is there any evidence showing Mars and Venus Orbs having different loot pools / tiers? I know most people in this thread have been running Venus Orbs.

That's my guess, based on previous findings. Omen drops (hands/bodies) were bumped to ITG (my mule got Udug Jacket on 1 chest opened, ITG), and Volte stuff stayed in LT.

Previously the pool available in Loud Thuds overlapped with those in Thuds, the Loud Thud Pool was just narrower. You could get an Omen Body from a Thud, for instance, just at a much lower rate than a Loud Thud due to the pool being much larger in Thuds. Is there any reason to believe that this is no longer the case? If I had to guess, all of the items available in ITG are likely still available in LT, just at a lower rate.

I generally just sell orbs BUT the new system and couple new items have intrigued me. Let us keep collecting data. 4th Venus: On all 4 orbs both T & LT are just dropping a bunch of older Escha gear.

Got an ITG on mars orb and received an Odium which was disappointing. These mars orb troll messages about being wrong are irritating, 3 of those so far on mars orbs.

Cause that suggests Mars/Venus has a very different loot pool and/or tiers. Someone may be willing to suggest that Plouton's drop's are all ITG but:

I'm skeptical that Odium is ITG but Befouled Crown is T.

No screen shots, did this yesterday had ITG with 3 characters in the area so it could have theoretically been a thud (no loud thuds) and I had the itg item on all 3 characters but not sure what it could be. With windower is there a way to pull old log from a different instance?

Not exactly a AMAN Trove drop but Daily Gobbie Box can give these. 24 were inside when I opened it.

the 1.1 mil AF upgrade materials are a LT drop. Atleast I'm assuming they're all there.

Can also confirm I got murky astral detritus gr. coffer from loud thud yesterday.

This FFXI user showed that a volte jupon came from a LT. No ITG.

I haven't been following closely, but I got 5M on my mule when I popped the chest

campaign-style, didn't take a chest slot or anything.
