Since Eva seems to work so well for the new limbus NM's I got to reviewing eva sets for various jobs.

I'm ML45 and this is my current eva set:

ItemSet 400617

I'm at 1283 Eva before food.
I swapped out regal ring for defending ring, cuz I think the 10% dt better than 5 eva from the ring. Ring slots don't' have good evasion options options.

I rather like Popo. con queso for another 50 eva. though if I really wanna go for it, I'd make some Salt Ramen for 90.

so I'm at 1333 in current set. I could buy the grip from forri-porri for another 15.. for a nice 1348 which seems just shy of the recommended 1350 eva for Limbus nm's. Guess I really should squeeze out a couple more master levels.... (This is all before Swordplay which took me up to 1418)
So very nice eva tanking for run where you can keep alot of dt as well.

Then you look stuff up to cap eva and come up w/ this:

ItemSet 400616

This should be max eva set for Runefencer. The +4 Runeist set gets a total (between agi and eva) of +82 Over the Erilaz +3 set (our current best option) However, it has almost no damage reduction!!

That means my previous set could go up to 1365 eva before food or swordplay. 1415 after food which is really nice.
but its really hurting for damage reduction.

So I'm curious about something like this:

ItemSet 400618

I would aim for murky ring instead of Ragelise's but I couldn't add that to the itemset yet.

There is only 28% dt and 8% pdt in the main gear. of course 25% pdt II on Epeolatry. so 28% dt + 33% pdt for a total of 62% pdt and keeping that shell on is great.

If I counted right this should be 1356 eva before food or ja's or buffs. food alone gets over 1400, could get up to 1450 w/out any additional support. that's pretty cool imo... and useful

Any thoughts or ideas on using eva tanking set?

I think the purpose of an "eva tanking set" should be that to reach the max possible evasion WHILE also capping DT.
If you focus just on evasion and get "just" 34% DT like on the first set, I'm not sure if it's gonna be worth it.

Keep in mind Evasion caps at 80%, meaning even with a gazilion of Eva you won't be able to evade more than 80% of the blows thrown at you.
Implying that 20% of them will indeed land.

Can probably fix it by using a dedicated Ambu cape with 10% DT, a Sortie+1 earring and a different grip.

I don't think you'll get the full 90. Salt Ramen is 5% Evasion, caps at 90.

5% of 1283 is ~64. Popoto would cap at 10%. Personally would just use Rustic Fish, if you stocked up on some during the Green Festival

I agree with always capping DT and sacrifice some evasion to accomplish this. I personally would find a way to fit HQ Turms hands at the very least (and maybe also feet) into the set, as a way to further mitigate physical damage that "gets through" when evasion check fails. Self-healing on physical parries is useful, and the added Regen is not-nothing (+13/tick Regen if pairing both with Rustic Fish, can stack self-Regen IV on top of that). Null Mask is 4 less evasion and offers better physical defense, as well as idle regen and -10 DT. Futhark Coat +4 sacrifices a little evasion and a hefty amount of HP for more Idle Regen, DT. But you can cover the HP loss with a Gelatinous Ring+1 instead, which adds PDT as well.

Uhm... why not seafood gratin? Should add a bit more evasion.
