Hello everyone, a LS mate of mine is having issues staying connected to the game. Any time we gather for content (aside from idling in the mog house) once we enter, he gets disconnected. We've gone through and done some trouble shooting, loaded and unloaded add-ons and plug-ins from Windower, made sure his device drivers are up to date etc, and he still cannot stay connected to the game. Does anyone else have any idea on what a fix could be and able n willing to help us out? Can reply to this thread or shoot me a DM on discord @ ReDefiant88#8490.

I keep getting error code FFXI- 4001 no connection. Or the other error code that is connection based. I get them all the time now, I have a feeling its some kind of addon doing it
Happened to 3 members of our ls.
Two different events, 2 different days (yesterday dyna, today vagary), and they always d/c together at the same time. Two of them are not even from the same country. It's pretty weird, and it never happened before. That error can happen on zoning into instances with texture mods loaded, so you know.
The 4gb patch, large memory aware patch, can help. Thread about it somewhere in here. i have been getting it too, kicked to title screen. mainly zoning into mhuara. * should add it started about 7 days ago maybe 10 tops.

I can reliably r0 myself with a large download via http Mine happens while im afk... almost like that setting is on for the auto log out, where it kicks you out after idling. But mine are all off, and its typically only one or two characters getting it just sitting in town doing nothing. Then it kicks to title screen and like 70% of the time you can just log right back in. Must be a faulty addon if you ask me, but i have not figured it out yet.

I would even go as far to say powermgmt specifically the gpu Or windows itself doing some power saving Would need to look at time before it happens and what settings are still on VPN solved my random issues. Seriously, look into it.
I dont know but now every day im getting 4001 connection losts. I doubt its the internet, is anyone else getting those?
I have verizon fios, and its kinda of crappy honestly but im over 50 floors up so I thought it was to be expected. My PC is wired to the modem and never really had issues before. Its been a recent thing the last few months.
The weird thing is that this only happens when I let my characters go idle. Never when I am actively playing That was turned on, I turned it off just now, lets see if that works

This is probably unrelated but I’ve been getting a random game-crash that happens with some frequency when zoning into Sortie, or Odyssey. No POL-Error just an outright “Handle Exception Error” box and then I’m sprinting to log back in before too much time is wasted lol.
Anything I can do to keep that from happening at all? Windows 11, DGVoodoo is on and NextGame’s Texture Pack if any of that matters. Any addons KNOWN to cause issues? I know Highlight was one of them, but I nixed that already. I'd bet money you have a bad dat file
I spent a week crashing from reraise it happened so in frequently I wasn't able to realize until I casted it myself and got insta bolted. Mind you I would crash when others casted it as well

I crash only in escha zitah and ru aun for whatever reason sadly the change didnt work for me, stll getting random 4001 disconnections

Yesterday, I launched POL for the first time without my VPN on because co-pilot AI doesn't come up with it, and I wanted to ask several questions. I was basically online the entire day without problem... until I went afk for a few and when I returned, POL-4001
I won't be playing this game without my VPN moving forward. Dunno if this helps ya or not draylo but i think i finally nailed mine down, was a power saver option on my hotspot, hidden in a menu in the password screen.

I did have a weird issue where my controller wouldn't work properly when playing with my 3 chars. It would delay inputs or ignore them entirely. I've sinced fixed that issue by no longer using a bluetooth connection for my PS5 controller and using a USB connection... and that also seems to have fixed my d/c issues I was having. Maybe it was something to do with bluetooth polling too much and FFXI freaking out over the inputs and disconnecting me. Could be completely unrelated... who knows anymore. I used to think I understood computers lol I reinstalled ReWASD as well as playing via USB. ReWASD by itself didn't work.
Have had very little issue with disconnects. However, since latest update, I am getting constant pol-2059 errors every 10min. Basically make the game unplayable. My settings have not changed. Only change has been the latest ffxi update.
