3k Last Stand with Fomal gives you AM3, thus he can create Radiance off of a simple 2-step.
Oh I guess I see what he means now. The 2 step would be after he gets AM, not as part of the SC

Nope. If you start with no AM, then 3k LS gives you AM, but it only has Fusion/Reverberation properties. Only the 2nd LS has Light/Fusion/Reverberation and won't make any skillchain. You need AM up before LS > LS to make light > light.

I assumed when they wrote "AM3 = " at the start, the implication there was that you already had AM3 up, that seemed kinda obvious to me...

AM2 = 2k Last Stanrd > 1k Savage > Light > 1k Last Stand > Radiance
Is there a version that ends with savage blade is my question. Guessing not since it has to end with the aeonic so it was a dumb question

If he had am3 up, then he wouldn't need 3k LS. 1k LS x2 would be enough.

Yeah Simon's right. I've just never noticed since I always multistep with lower AM levels anyway.

I havent tested it specifically with Fomal
But I was certain that works that way from my experience with other aeonics

In my defence, I dont run my DPS with COR in the drivers seat so this situation would never come up for me to begin with. COR is in the way back of the minivan yelling chaos/sam/cor roll every few minutes.

No, no Savage Blade enders for the Ultimate Skillchains. It has to end with a level 3 property while you have AM in effect.

It can work with Empyrean weaponskills as well, which is why there are a host of jobs that can do both Radiance and Umbra.

COR, RNG, NIN, DRG, PLD, BLU, RDM, THF, BRD, DNC, and GEO all may make both Radiance and Umbra due to having weaponskills innate to their weapon type/jobs that have the opposite SC type.

And there is no telling what kind of gear limbus brings.

Most can say is that it'll be job specific.

I am completely setting myself up for disappointment here but here it goes anyway: I hope the re-reforged AF and Relic bring some job unique enhancements and not just additional acc/macc/stat/wsd/mab/etc.

Moving the conversation over to a new thread: https://www.ffxiah.com/forum/topic/58405/artifactrelic-4-armor-speculation-thread/#3745900

Like a week ago I posted this link for a sheet with pretty much same thing (without Ambu gear), that also let's you pick up to 3 slots and check what jobs are compatible with each other to for example use something else than path B Nyame on them.

Guessing BLM body can't be more than 3% before getting overpowered.
Song duration +1/2% at most.
More time on bergressor will be welcome.
NIN feet +4 I wish they'd just make full time 25% movement speed. Could this really cause problems anywhere for cheating content?

Sorting jobs alphabetically vs the way theyre sorted in game is a crime deserving of the death penalty. Sorting the dyna weapons by SU5 alphabetical order instead of in-game job order is also worthy of death penalty. But it gets worse and I have ruled the punishment to be a slow death by thousand cuts because they used the SU5 weapon sorting to use the same job order for the SU3 and SU4 weapons.

What the *** Funkworkz????

The indecision is over. I went with Wizard's Rod and will have a lot of fun with it. I would have regretted not getting it more so than the shield. Thanks for helping to make up my mind.

If I may ask (just got to your comment, still reading), how do you feel still? Your situation was similar to mine, but SCH I hold dear. Curious to know some thoughts of yours on it!

Neither really but dragon fangs are better between the 2. Chakras hp return is already stupid and unlesa you regularly counter tank like 5+ mobs that recast reduction isnt gonna be noticeable.

Fangs are an okay distortion linker, and ODD on kicks, not amazing but its something

There may be diehards that will fight for the swords, the katana and the shield.

But the fists are losers, nothing of value there. It's deeply ironic that the reason you would want the fangs (to make darkness) weakens the best gravitation weaponskills. Giving up karambit or kenkonken.

Do you know if the author of that video is on FFXIAH? I wonder if he would be interested in doing a Shield/Block Rate video.

S - Diamond Aspis (only one that gets consistant use and value if you're already BIS)
A - Miracle Cheer, Yagyu Darkblade, Onion Sword, Wizard's Rod (cheer and rod are minor upgrades at times, darkblade and onion are really neat but rarely actually used)
B - Air Knife, Flametongue, Ice Brand (both situational and boring)

Rest aren't worth tiering. Nobody's winning 9x ever. Can see bumping miracle cheer above the others like he did if you don't already have a geared brd because it does a lot of things.

S tier - pretending Onion Sword III makes DNC optimal to fight Kalunga V25 so you can argue for days
A tier - Flametongue so you can say it parses better than Naegling to make people rage on FFXIAH
B tier - Miracle cheer when you already have RMEA
C tier - Yagyu Darkblade to pretend NIN will ever tank anything again
D tier - Scythe, Gsword, GKT

Pretty sure it's Jakey, same person who made nuke wall videos and tested various other things, like hachimonji GKT

The polearm, though it's nothing impressive for damage, is a unique way to heal your wyvern. Spirit Link or Restoring breath (Spirit Bond) timers can drag on for a bit, and you may not always be gearing specifically for wyvern survival (you should in most AOE heavy fights).

I could see having an emergency macro set when you need to keep your little guy alive. I also wonder if it works in super jump. You're already losing DPS being up in the air, might as well heal your wyvern on the leap and then swap back to a more offensive weapon. Or full time it and never gave to worry about your wyvern dying. Again, not amazing, but that's useful imo (if your wyvern dies and call wyvern is not up, you're the most gimp gimp imaginable).
