Shield works on all self JA buffs but only for the wearer, not everyone else in the party if AoE.
No, SPs/2hrs are not JA buffs, they're SPs. AFAIK from testing way back.

Sentinel, Rampart +25% <3. The effect doesn't wear if you swap shield out, right? So when does Asura start shouting for player who specifically have these weapons for their pugs?

I'm leaning toward Onion Sword III because it works on all jobs and gives Dancer (one of my favorite jobs) a real sword. I wonder how good Fast Blade II is. My other favorite jobs are BLU, MNK, and PLD, but I have Tizona, Godhands, and Burtgang anyway so I don't know if I'd use any of these much. I'll probably hold off on deciding for a while and am curious to hear about other people's experiences and testing, in case there's something really interesting that isn't apparent just from the weapon descriptions.

At risk of asking a dumb question - does anyone know if Dragon Fangs do blunt or piercing damage?

It should work for all self target non sp jas.
Of course only on the wearer. If a ear with diamond aspis uses warcy only him will receive extended duration, not party members. Should work like this at least? Like many bars and new comers might want that. They not like veterans bards that owns every piece of remap, so it a nice shortcut. I’m not doing -1 as a bard for sure, it take 12 seconds to cast songs.
Now for the shield, and as a RDM as well, i might be interested for the sole purpose of /drk for aminon
