Massive Lag?

Is anyone else getting 3-10 seconds of lag for every ability in sortie tonight?

Asura seems to randomly be being weird, unrelated to sortie but character specific.

Getting spikes on a couple chars only and persistently in any area

Seems to be Across Multiple Platforms right now including Xbox and playstation nextworks.

Yep. Spent 30min logging in chars who kept r0'ing sortie. Ended up warping. Red dotting back to title screen on repeat.

Our Sortie run was super laggy tonight, must be something in the water.

Yes, I was complaining during sortie. I couldn't tell when I was casting.

Might have todo with those cables that got cut

it is the weekend, you are on asura, are you guys sure it's not just occam's razor here

It was happening last night on Valefor too so not an Asura specific problem

It wasn't all characters, there was very specific oddity. It was 1-2 characters per pc.

Gone for the moment though, we'll see how it goes.

It seems to be something either SE side or link to Japan as it's been happening across characters at the same time and not on Asura for me.

More prominent yesterday, but have noticed it last couple days.

I know this might seem like a meaningful metric, but it's not. What matters more is how many of them are out of town, how many are using trusts, how the instances are structured, how large the groups in individual instances are (data increases exponentially), etc.

It's reasonably likely that more instanced content is going on now than a few years ago (ambu and omen have become easier, sortie has been added in, more people can tackle odyssey). We also don't know if the resources used to host instances are dedicated by server, or in server clusters, or shared entirely. We know SE has changed their topology.

Without direct information, I think it is difficult to say. Effecting certain characters more than others makes it more likely to be a software capability+prioritization issue, rather than a network capacity one, imo.

I tribox sortie, last night one account was normal, one was a little laggy and one was barely playable. All on the same PC on the same run.

Instead of everyone posting and saying "I experience lag too", like a communal bowel movement, it'd be a lot easier to determine some common denominators with your geographical location and ISP, such as:

"Yeah, I got kicked out to the title screen 3 times for 30 minutes. I'm in Seattle and use AT&T as my ISP."

Yeah, let's all dox ourselves for the purposes of figuring out network issues.

If not all characters have it at same time, it's likely SE side and not network related.
