What are iconic FFXI Terms/Names/Weaponskills/Spells, etc that are not used in other games? i.e Things uniquely FFXI.
What Terms/Names would be instantly recognizable outside of FFXI, such as IRL, but only to people to have played FFXI?

XI is the primary MMO where English users call players whose job is mainly to do damage DDs instead of DPS.

"Subjob" is a pretty uniquely FFXI thing. I know X|V used to have them, but that hasn't existed since before it became popular, so I'd say it counts.
"Utsusemi" is a pretty outstanding ability that doesn't seem to appear in other media, not even other Final Fantasy titles. Same could be said for "Geocolure" and "Indicolure". Which is pretty rare because most spells are lifted out of the Final Fantasy dictionary, and most abilities and weapon skills were recycled wholesale in X|V. I also don't recall ever seeing "orz" outside of XI, though I'm sure it's not necessarily an XI exclusive... Obviously any of the made-up races and locales...

Bio Break Much of the music. XI's OST has actually broken out of XI's circles somewhat. Shantotto, as much as it chagrins me. Burning Circles The FFXI Crab For weaponskill names hmmm... I'd say most all of the Empyrean weaponskills haven't had their names co-opted by XIV yet. Though one notable exception being DRG's. Though instead of Camlann's Torment they changed it to Coerthan Torment, so I suppose that keeps Camlann's firmly XI only (and shame on XIV for getting rid of the King Arthur reference. I bet it was Localizers striking again). Bastok has a bigger level of infamy than the other two city states imo. But all three are fairly iconic to XI.

There was quite a bit of cultural/regional crossover going on early in the game. Warau - more commonly the 'w' seen at the end of a string of JP characters. Kinda like lol WC - Though this is common to EU, NA players usually call it restroom or bathroom rather than water closet. Please check it.

Can't think of really any other game where you switch gear on the fly like XI. It's kind of hard to do/know though, cause even playing other MMOs, there are MMOs older than XI and terms people came up with in those got applied to XI stuff as well. Like how we call Tu'lia Sky, there was the Plane of Sky that Everquest players just called Sky before we had our Sky. The word moot, might be used elsewhere but the ffxi crowd loves the moot term moot.

All damage in FFXI is in white text, or really any color text you want. Definitely a thing brought over by WoW players where different damage types use different colors.
