I played a game of basketball, but I guess I didn't really play it because I DIDN'T play a game the other 29 days of the month.

I made a Christmas card for my mom, but since I didn't send one to my other 30 relatives, I didn't make a card.

They don't do what the community asks for at all*. Said they would look into the auto target limitations from the AMA question months back and probably forgot about it.

They don't strike me as a company that really ever does things based on fan request, maybe in another FF series. Have they ever implemented anything in FFXI based solely on player feedback? I can't think of one instance. They've fixed screw ups or adjusted based on complaints, but I mean fresh player opinion/feedback implemented directly into the game.

I think Cheese Sandwich is the only time they really caved in to player feedback, and that wasn't a quick implementation to the game if I recall correctly.

yeah im going to hold off on this for now. no way im going to spend majority of a sub grinding out single content for something that 2%
of the games population will do.



thats the biggest problem. alot of newer folks don't have ambu unlocked/ready to do. if they put in stuff like "gain signet" or "kill enemies x times" it would SIGNIFICANTLY make a huge difference. im hoping objectives rotate monthly. nobody will want to touch this if its the same brainless ***every month

You only have to change your furnishings if you are currently using a furnishing which lingers on a delicate balance of elements. I always have a flower pot in my MH and it's never interfered with my moghancement

They're already faking the numbers, it is impossible for 200k to have been made already.

That means 1k(!)+ characters maxed out ploudits today. And it's only been 8 hours.

SE takes pride in not listening to any feedback. I mean during the 20th anniversary they only talked about themselves. No prime previews, Event previews, Timelines, Player Q&A etc. Every update since seemed to only punish players who stood around waiting 3 years for Sortie.

100,000/42 ambu (3 a day for 14 days) means you need to take 2,400 damage per ambu.

HOW EVER WILL YOU MANAGE? That could be like....an entire HP bar almost. At least a dozen auto-attacks from an enemy, or several spells. Probably not reasonable.

I mean, I guess if doing 3 ambu a day is a lot of effort for you don't bother, but don't pretend this is some Sisyphus-level torture or something. It's 30 minutes, maybe 60 minutes, of "work" for less than 2 weeks. You could accomplish all these goals on your lunch break without noticing

In fact, since this is an event-wide one and not a daily, you can do it in a single day at the beginning or the end. Set your HP to Mhaura, go in to VD Intense on the highest HP job you have, run into the mobs and die. HP, rinse and repeat. You should be done in under an hour, prolly a half hour.

I mean people could just not do it not like se got a gun to your head saying do it. Yea these sounds insane but just don't do it and afk in town like normal.

If you want to burn 12 hours for a Beitetsu box, you do you.

You guys aware of the fact that Volume two works too right (including normal difficulty wins)? Doing this in volume two is piss easy and fast.

The only campaign that makes me go "wow I really wish I had an extra 3 days" is dark matter plus. Any campaign that you would be using, that time spent grinding ambu could have been spent on the campaign bonus.
But this is the best part: its for NEXT month. You dont even know what you're grinding an extension for.

You want people to do this vanabout stuff.

But ok numbnuts, we've established that "a scholar or rdm can tackle all of these". How is my ungeared scholar and rdm supposed to do this safely without dying? Do I:
Take chars on other jobs to do all the requirements? Ok, well now I'm doing extra runs, its not just 3 runs a day
Do I go solo and use trusts to tank? Ok, now I'm doing extra runs, its not just 3 runs a day.

I'm glad you think the reward for doing a shitton of Ambuscade over 2 weeks should be more ambuscade.

42 Ambu / 12hours = 17 minutes each :shrug:

PLD, WHM, RDM, SCH, or any job/DNC for cures.
Any job /BLM, RDM, GEO, SCH for nukes.
Any job to do WS and SC
Any job can have a set to swing 300 HP for your cures.
