Good question! My Carn isn't afterglowed yet (nor anything else that I can mainhand on BRD), so I can't say how that would work. I would guess that the main takes priority, but I'm sure someone will be able to verify that soon enough.
Also, while Primes have an Afterglow visual effect, they do not have the text "Afterglow" in the description like relics, mythics and Empyreans do. Whether that's just an oversight or an indication that they don't have the AoE buff effect, I can't say.
Quite sure they do not have the afterglow aoe effect, that would've meant creating a new one since the old motif was to have a different one for each type of weapon.
But, you know, just thought I'd ask to be 100% sure.
Haha, this game will forever be purple from now on. Nyame, Prime AfterGlow, Sortie....Sorry, carry on with your testing, please.
We've lived long enough to become the villain, the warrior of darkness. An alliance of level 75 players from Horizon will be farming you and spending DPK over your corpse.
Stage 5 Prime has purple glow, because of course it does.
From about 30 minutes playing around with them on Locus mobs:
-The double damage proc on basics is now triple damage. Same rules as Stage 4, first hit only.
-No change in Aftermath duration. Staff's AM potency seems to have gone up, but I'm too tired to math out the numbers for now.
-Weapon skills didn't seem hugely different, but hitting Locus mobs for a few minutes isn't exactly rigorous testing.
-Max damage from one hit is still 99999. There wasn't much hope of that changing anyways, but alas.
-After upgrading, I checked stage 3's requirements - still the same as before. Trading the stage 5 to Gama-Shama does nothing, so there's no augments or any extra things (yet...).
-No new title from finishing stage 5, like there was for Aeonic.
Serious question.. do any of your team that have completed a stage 5 prime own a perfect +2 earring?
Though the second run after we finished our weapons Lancifer got his first? DRG+2 earring and that same run I got my first BST+2 earring, so that was something! (I think they were both slightly above the worst they could be.)
Unagihito kindly donated their time and expertise to deliver the following information regarding Stage 5 Aftermath:
Compiling the results from the final 3 stages we get:
Stage 3 = 2% to 8% Aftermath Potency
Stage 4 = 4% to 10% Aftermath Potency
& Stage 5 = 6% to 12% Aftermath Potency
If your job can use Vim Torque, you can also do /sam Meditate for 600 TP, then exchange 1000 HP for 400 TP with the torque, having a trust heal you back up after the WS.
what I did was use bow or gun ect and changed store tp set till it could give exact 1k or 2k. Sometimes you need to reset TP after WS but I just have the macro do that. If u have multiple chars having flurry 2 helps doing this. Not having to run up to each mob can save a lot of time.
I wanted to add to the work Proth put forth many pages back, so for the last few days I've been murdering rabbits.
I have to say, the fractions of 1024 and flooring etc. have made my mind a little crazy. But I think I've scratched together some acceptable damage spreads.
I did stick with some funky 1024 values for some of these to make things purely look better to the observed damages. I have no idea what values they truly are, nor can I seem to discern it. I feel like a kid playing with his dad's lathe and I'm going to lose a finger.
2k fTP: 11.575 (11854/1024)
Again, playing with x/1024 of this value got it slightly cleaner. I started with 2963/256 which ended up ... not right. And 2964 also wasn't close enough. So that's why you see a 1024 version of it in this screenshot.
Playing around with rounding here and there gets just about any of the posted data and mine to line up. In some cases, 1 WSC less made Proth's data fit it perfectly. And in others the 1024 change to the WSD trait made it closer. It's all very confusing and I hate that it's not 'perfectly deterministic'.
But I hope this helps with the katana data! Like always, happy to hear where I've made mistakes.
is there a equipment set u use for Fimbulvetr please?? thx
Both have toggles for PDL and ACC, but these are the lua default sets
You holding tp on war to 1650 or just spamming?
It depends on what I'm doing, but 1000+ a round is most common. The FTP scaling is pretty linear on primes, so its a matter of balancing WS delay and SC opportunities.

It's basically just a savage blade set with a dex/wsd cape and kentarch/gerdr+1 over Sailfi. Regal ring is pretty good too in place of something like the aman wsd ring. In my experience so far dmg hits around 55-60k with max buffs/debuffs.
Let's keep this thread solely for sharing information on the new prime weaponskills; WS numbers/sceenshots, hypothetical discussions on WS properties, such as stat mods and fTP, gear sets and buffs/debuffs used etc.
No discussions/comments on how much people hate sortie, why weapon requirements suck etc.
