haven't ever really had the chance, even though I've used this for what feels like forever now- but thank you for your work (and others!) so that songs actually look different, and RDMs don't have to stare at 8 identical icons and wonder which is barfire, which is phalanx, and which is barparalyze^^

Does replacing the fonts no longer work with hex application? When I try to change font font it just crashes now with no success message. But changing the pointers work
run as administrator?
i use different fonts and pointer, still works. that fixed it. thanks

[195 days between previous and next post]Setting up new install and windows 11 is saying "FFXI Menu Themes 1.0" have a trojan in it. Well now two. I think Windows defender is bugged but least wanted to ask about it.
Trojan:Win32/Pomal!rfn Trojan:Win32/Vigorf.A I remember running the background install for dark gradient long ago and dont think got flagged but rather not infect new install. Any insight would be great. Even how to just install the *.dat manually. Thanks. If you got it from Caradog's Github then it's just a false positive. Defender and antivirus do this all the time. Redownload if you're unsure of the source.

Open Windows Security, Protection History, Find the Threat Blocked and hit allow under Actions, Download again, might have to do this when trying to install as well.

Most cracks also show up as "threats" because no one is going to pay enough to get them into the "it's a rootkit but an official one" list.

I've taken a look at the update, it seems they changed one icon and I don't think its one that can be obtained by the player. Description "You are currently testing macros" with the regain symbol. (If I'm incorrect on this please let me know).
I'll post an update at some point but I think its fine to use the existing version until I do. Edit. Never mind I uploaded an update to it. Old version should be fine if you don't want to update. I currently am unable to check it so let me know if there's issues.

It's the buff that happens when you're engaged and started hitting one of the macro test dummies, so is it one obtainable by the player.
Note: Windows Defender flags the current update of this as a trojan Wacatac. Does not flag on downloading the individually changed files.

[44 days between previous and next post]Windows doesn't want me to download the app that handles menu backgrounds.
I'm trying to update my menu/chat background to solid black with white border. Is this as simple as locating the correct file, renaming it to 14-21.DAT and copying it to the ROM/0 folder? If so, which file am I looking for? The menu backgrounds are dat files, in the menu there are 8 options for backgrounds. Each option has a dat file. If you rename the original file, and put a new one there it will show that new one.
05 Add ons > FFXI Menu Themes > Theme Examples > Black Menu Themes with Colored Borders
Where dis? goto ffxi/rom/0/ and change 21.dat to 21back.dat
this is a black one I made ages ago, try download that and put it in its place. then goto the menus in the game: config/windows/shared and pick 8 8 black

RA i was able to get it to work. I recall seeing a solid black on long ago with no bored or gradient. Looking for a solid black for my OLED monitor. Happen to have one? Thanks.
