Wow, I had no idea that so many people hated Nyzul Isle. I still really enjoy helping people with it to this day. I suppose I understand hating it if you play solo.
You forgot the part about losing 15k tokens and wasting 30 minutes because an order lamp floor popped up when you still had 5 minutes in the area.
Nyzul would get bumped from E- content to B+ if tokens were awarded on portup instead of on exit, or give you the ability to exit the area without completing the floor. Limiting order lamps to 3 (or atleast capping it to party size) would raise it to A-, getting rid of order lamps entirely would raise it to A+. But most of my ire is knowing you have to abandon 15% of the allotted event time, as the reward gets greater, because bad luck can cause you to lose it all.
If you could spend tokens to remove certain objectives/maps from the pool, it'd probably be a worth while investment (particularly solo) remove the order/same time and large map (1k tokens each?) would be a net positive.

I think that plan kinda negates the fun risk factor involved with pushing hard for max points, similar to oddyC runs where you've got 2 minutes left and questioning whether you should kill that pack of penguins. (Don't do it!).
Personally I'd prefer a system wherein upon entry each member is subject to a 60-second basic IQ and following instructions test and those that fail get booted from the party automatically to keep them from blowing lamp order floors because they think they're playing W.O.W.

You can touch the portal, get your bonus gil and segs, then go MPK everyone with counters and whirl wing.
Abandoning 15% of the time wouldn't even matter if it didn't take so long to exit the instance, run back to aht urhgan, reflag, run back to alzadaal, reenter.
If you could just refresh tags at the runic portal glowy instance entrance thing, nobody would care. Probably not as easy as it sounds with ancient code, but still.
