Killed a good dozen elementals with sanguine blade doing 25k+ damage with no B1 pop. Seems bunk, at least for magic ws.
On what elementals? Fire? It may have something to do with Sanguine blade not working, we may need an ele ws that says "deals x elemental damage"?. I got shard on fire eles in 5 kiills with only silence and a Drk using nothing but Infernal Scythe for dd and kill.
Would have been all 8 fire elementals, then 3 water and 2 ice.
EDIT: all dia'd and silenced.

order of NMs we've killed:
A > B > C > D;
B > C > D > A;
D > C > A > B;
D > A > B > C.
always got the aurum on the 4th NM kill.
As for box D3/D4: I did Red Lotus > Flat > Savage > CDC...
We did not get credit when CDC killed before the double light's dmg, however we did when the 2nd light skillchain dmg was also present.
Added Requiescat to the start for:
Req > RedLotus > Flat > Savage > CDC
get every 3rd kill now since it won't die before savage blade's light for sure.

You only need a 4-step SC for the objective, not a 5-step. It probably needs to hit 4-steps with it still alive, based on the other objectives and Chimera's account.

Sanguine Blade also has no skillchain properties, like Spirits Within, and that may be causing some issue as well. Although it does function for magic weapon skill kills in Abyssea to raise amber light just fine...

Sanguine Blade worked for me on Thunder/Air elementals.
Yesterday I had my COR killing the fire elementals with Leaden Salute and it didn't pop either chest. Did it on the Thunder/Air again and it worked fine.

Went in today for a 4th day to try to trigger B Blue Chest. Today's goal was to do skillchain kills on Umbril. I cleared all the umbrils two times totaling 7 sc kills, 5 physical weaponskill kills of under 15k and most importantly 5 hybrid weaponskill kills (blade chi) above 25k. Chi was the only weaponskill i found that could hit for over 15k and it took berserk and attack food to achieve. I sadly ran out of time before I could get anymore hybrid ws kills above 15k but I did hit 5... and nothing. 4th day in a row now of trying I think everything people have suggested and not a single blue chest B. On the plus side, dealing with the umbrils doom was far easier then I expected, didn't have myself or trust die to it once.

Unrelated to Sortie directly, but I'm curious if this method works for pulling Fomor in Sortie to de-link groups. Aegis Schism is no joke.
I usually just go as BLM because yay I can do stuff again or RDM and you can bind/break these guys with ease. We just pull big groups and I'll keep em' petrified while doing my own thing

Bind/Grav/Breakga seems like the way to go when controlling them. BLM seems to have a solid place in Sortie. Same with BLU (tow jobs that didn't always have the best circumstances in Odyssey and past content). Good to see them make a return.
I wasn't able to SV Troubadour Lullaby any of the Fomors on BRD, but they are not flat out immune. Has anyone tried to land sleep or bind from BLU (Yawn, Blastbomb, Regurgitation etc)?

I'm pretty sure that their resistance to sleep is set to requiring immunobreaks (or stymie), meaning anything that can't immunobreak cannot land ever, barring maybe having someone else immunobreak it first for you.

That's odd. They weren't resisting Break at all for me on RDM last night, nor the night before on SCH with Manifestation. They were also easily susceptible to Bind, FWIW.

That's odd. They weren't resisting Break at all for me on RDM last night, nor the night before on SCH with Manifestation. They were also easily susceptible to Bind, FWIW.
Maybe he tried it on a RDM Fomor. They have Resist Petrify trait so that would explain it.

Has anyone tried opening all the D locked doors in a short period of time? This feels like what the 2nd blue chest in D would be, but also feels obvious enough for someone to have tried it by now, however we've never found the time to spare to try it. Has anyone done this?

I just want to make sure I understand. You completed no other objectives in B, Killed no elementals and pulled Porxie and killed with expiacion spam and it dropped? Meaning no skillchains, no magic burst, etc? That would be huge as that goes against pretty much every theory out there so please do confirm if all of that is correct. Thank you!

I've had 5/7 B Triggers for the last 8 kills of Porxie, no drop. The trigger I did not have was blue Chest from mobs.

I'll need to check my logger as the group was farming shard/metal at the time. I know for sure the blue from ele kills and the /hurray and locked B door were all done, not 100% on shard or metal obj but I can check. The group was farming in the elemental area right beside the gadget also.
Oh! Ok yea that would make the difference. I'm 99% sure at this point that the blue chest from XXX kills is indeed what triggers the red for porxie. I just can't seem to get the damn blue chest to spawn.

I noticed this yesterday, that if I go above 5 WS per mob, it won't give me the 2nd chest, so I suspect you have to defeat the mob within a certain # of WS.

We've tried opening all the locked doors in D but didn't pay attention to timing. No chest.

I took a 2700 followed by 3k last night on NIN (I was tanking). The DNC I was with also died shortly after to one immediately after me. Then I did it again with only trusts solo, but I used Valaneiral to tank it on a second attempt and he never died, but frequently fell to red HP, and once triggered the "stands resolute" Scherzo buff, so he would have died without it. In every instance of death/red hp/near death trust buff, the tank/main target took the most damage, but anyone else + trusts took minor damage.
I ask: were you the tank when Clobbering Wave 1 shotted you? If so, that matches my experience and I would say that Clobbering Wave has a chance to one shot the tank, even if you have metal, but does minimal damage to everyone else it hits. Metal might just strongly reduce the chance to like 10%, but still possible. Maybe Ulmia can Scherzo if you get hit with hard and that can save you. Or since the move is conal, stand behind it and position the trusts in front of it so they take the damage.

Yeah I have been face tanking it on BLU the past few days with no issues (besides the first day but those weren't 1 shots). From now on I'll use a tank and have my BRD mule scherzo.

I noticed Skomora uses Cruel Joke, but it doesn't inflict doom rather a regular curse effect.
So I wonder:
1) Is cruel Joke learnable from him?
2) Does perhaps engaging without the plate make his cruel joke inflict the standard doom?
