Is It Me Or Is It Silly That Pets Despawn?

I can understand pets despawning after zoning, kinda, but not really, but why do they have to despawn after two hours (for high-level pets)? That just makes no sense.

Totally different subject. Charmed mobs despawn.

They say it's dumb that jug pets despawn after so much time. it's an economic decision that doesn't really hold up to scrutiny but that's what it is. They want jugs consumed, not the same tiger that the bots been using for 4 days straight, they want them to spend that 20k! But then they added beastial loyalty and threw that ***out the window.
