Black box remains after closing 2nd instance

When you close FFXI, it just closes. When you close a 2nd, 3rd of 4th instance after that point it closes and leaves a black box on the screen that you have to manually close every time.

This is really annoying, is there some way to stop this happening?

it is mildly annoying, but meh, if someone can/does fix it, that's cool

My windower just crashes when i /logoff or /shutdown so i just //terminate now lol

I've never seen this. I have 2 instances running and almost always just //terminate both.
