Back several, several years ago (like when Halo 2 first came out) I ran across one of those websites where if you complete x amount of offers from websites like blockbuster.com, some book websites,etc. and show that you tried these "special offers" out, they send you a free XBOX, PS, Gameboy, w/e. So, being young (and stupid) I gave it a try. Now I know right about now you're thinking I'm going to say something about me getting taken for money, or my info getting stolen or something. But I didn't, quite the contrary, after completing 3 or however many offers it was and cancelling them before I actually got charged a dime, I did (after about 3 months) receive a check from this company for 200 bucks (the retail price of an XBOX at the time) along with a letter telling me how they were "out of stock" of XBOX's and instead sent the check for the retail price of one.

Anyways, the point of my rambling is yes, 99% of this stuff is either illegal or not legit, but every once in a while someone might stumble upon the 1%.

Yes, there are legit things like this. I remember back in the day getting not one, but 2 free ipods for something similar. The main thing you do to separate the legit from the crap? Research. Look around the web. There are little to no negative reviews on this company. The only negative reviews are not because of fraud, the only issue was a delay in shipping. Everyone who traded points for items, got their items. It may have taken them 3 weeks, but they got their stuff.
