theres 25 zones so ideally we make an alliance and send some alts to the rest
So we didn't get enough abyssites to test the 1/25 theory but a shadow poped and we continued to pop a few more and those 4 did not produce a shadow. Maybe Asura has better luck at getting one abyssite for each of the 25 zones.
Gotta farm up a black abyssite of my own before the 28th then! Thought I was sitting on one but I was not. Maybe I'll take another crack at some T3 titles while I'm at it. (1/6, they do exist...)
Didn't someone a few pages ago say they found out a sort of threshold for titles to get a rank up?
What was that number? 900 I guess?
If my calculations are right (and they might not be...) I'm sitting around ~802 titles.
Is that average? High?
Crossing 850 titles didn't get me from 8 to 9. I've got all the VNM shadow titles (yilbegan and the like) except the blob for some reason. I don't see an easy path from 850 to 900 titles - I've got some jormy camping in store and I've started raising and killing monsters in the garden and picked back up checking the rank 7 sea/pond nodes. It's gonna be an unavoidable grind.
Maybe over the holidays I'll have some time to use alts to cheese ballista titles and mentor rank but tbh I'm not really motivated just for the earring - I've got way more low-hanging fruit to focus on gear-wise.

I've been slacking the last few years wrt endgame content because my playtime is limited, unpredictable, and strange. The conclusions I draw from the above list are:
1. Content introduced since the Mastery Rank system in November of 2020 (rest of TVR missions, Eschuteons, Master Fights, Odyssey, Sortie, and new Limbus) is probably necessary to reach Rank 9. I doubt they actually changed the point values of any old content or the point thresholds for levels 1~8. Everyone that jumped from 7 to 8 was just getting credit for their progress in new content.
2. New content must be worth a lot of points, because the list above pretty comprehensively covers all the content that's >5 years old.
3. I'm a bit doubtful that rank 10 can be reached right now unless repeated Limbus climbs are worth a lot of points

If you're already 8 with just that many titles, I expect when you have over 1000 like some of us, you'll hit rank 9.

There is no in-game tracker, but I had made my own spreadsheet at one time and there's like 423 hunts or something it's... A lot, lol

As for things to add to the tracking sheet. A key item count in general, except for temporary key items. When you get looking into key item collection you find a lot of things you havent done yet, like storing every armor set with the armor storage npcs that give you KIs, etc
It's a shame this site never kept up on the achievements. XIV has a zillion achievement tracker sites and we're not there yet. At least now we have a good reason for some dedicated/crazy soul to put something together.
And to be on-topic, here's a word that should strike fear into everyone's hearts: Pankration.

Does anyone have something simply for tracking the completed mazes?
I just want to get a "where i'm at" so I can start tallying.

I have every title in the game apart from 6 and the unobtainable ones, have 100% ROEs and quests (working on last few campaign ops if ownership would cooperate), have completed basically every piece of content in this game outside of my final shield stage, most of monstrosity, and a few v25s left in Ody, and I'm still rank 8.
For what it's worth, it took me a long, long time to get rank 8 earlier this year compared to most of you posting. These were literally the only titles I had unearned left when I hit rank 8:

I was at ~950 days on my Mog Garden. The titles that actually ranked me up were either Triumphant Owner or Crystal Stakes Cupholder, which I got back to back on two days of a weekend before I noticed the rank increase.
Since then I've finished everything except:
Paradise Regained
Founder's Pride
Master of All

Ballistager (seems bugged for me, won't award it on return of a chevron)
Legendary (on spirit step)
Maze Overlord (500/100 done)
And a bunch of campaign ops, but that's about it. I've seen many posts in here previously who hit rank 8 with far less complete, so I'm not entirely sure on why I had to do so many more, but I also don't really have much else left to do so not entirely sure how to push for 9 once those above are done (and monstrosity).

I know exactly where this is in the menu params, but I've been busy with work as the year wraps up so I haven't had the time or energy to throw something simple together for it, or finishing up the title tracker addon I'm like halfway done on for listing all your missing titles for you.
For anyone that wants to share where they are with Mastery Rank and there stats on quest/missions/roe and so forth. Rank can be found in menu under Status>Profile.
Any data helps, but more data for people at rank 6 can help us find possible base requirements. Stats from other ranks also can find baselines for those as well. Obviously stats from people if they notice when they rank up will be extra useful.

The "other types of in-game content" might be hardest to figure out. Apparently at the moment Rank 6 is the cap?
