Apologies for lack of OP updates last month and a delay this month as IRL has a hold on me (completely forgot about an update until I noticed there was one when I logged in today). I hate to disrupt the good conversation flow on the old thread but for longevity I think a new thread is preferable.

The potency of this will increase based on the difficulty of the fight.
Removing the aura from both of the trolls will remove the aura from the Bruiser:
The Bozzetto Justiciar's aura is removed via preforming magical weapon skills.
The Bozzetto Sharpshooter's aura is removed via preforming physical weaponskills.
Defeating the Sharpshooter or the Justiciar before the Bruiser will mean the Bruiser may no longer have it's aura removed.
The aura will return in ~30 seconds.
Once the Bozzetto Bruiser has been defeated the auras will cease.

Need to Silence the Zahak as soon as it's pulled, if it does Nullsong it's a wipe.
DD's get on the MB, Bruiser.
Tank calls out Auras on other trolls when they see them, then DD have to respond with an AoE physical or magic WS. VD SMN Setup
Still semi burnable.
2 SMN RUN GEO
Volt Strike.
Boss > dahak > 2x RNG during conduit, dont burn on pld either because it can block and at half HP it will use invincible
Conduit clears boss and leftover to kill dahak and one add, then normal BPs to deal with the rest. Confirming En-Water on Dahak
To confirm - running the note at 0:36 through OCR translation gives
"Dahak has the property to decrease TP when water attribute damage is inflicted, so use accession on rdm/sch and apply water"

I don't get the blm thing either.... it has a magic AoE WS...just showing you can use anything idk lol.

Not sure if we are watching the same video lol
1. He uses Vidohunir ONLY
2. He casts death (cant see casting, but you can see his whole MP gone and over 1000 gain in TP) after first Vidohunir on boss (he lower his TP from 3000 to 2900+ to trigger almost max potency AM2 with first Vidohunir) mostly for Occult Acumen to have TP for another Vidohunir right away. EDIT: Then he uses convert and he casts 2nd Death to kill Boss after 2nd Darkness.
3. He is using Vidohunir for 3 reasons. First to open Darkness for COR following with Leaden Salute. Second to apply -10 MDB before that Leaden + Darkness (both leaden and darkness doing 99k in the video on almost everything. I think Leaden did like 70k+ once on boss). That skillchain one shots everything beside boss. Boss is taken down by two of those skillchains + 2x Death. Lastly third, because in this setup its a decent damage (hits for around 45-47k).

Watching the video I can't see why they're was no auras from the adds. Normally the auras spawn 15s in.

iirc the auras start after the boss takes initial damage
Boss takes first damage at 27:54 and is dead at 27:38 (ish)
Boss only has 600k - 2 Leaden SC's are 400k

Means you were too slow on the aura killing, so you get slowed down, for being slow

Nah, just gives some breathing room for tank to settle into position. Was worried about getting TP before the auras went up.

So, the boss uses "Flare Death Ray" while the aura is up, not Pleiades Ray. Is that just a rename, or does it do something different?

it doesn't add petrify, that's about it.
for more clarity on the JP video strat:
RUN COR BLM RDM GEO BRD
GEO: acumen/malaise entrust focus
BRD: march madrigal AGI etudes for COR, INT etudes for BLM
RDM/SCH: aoe enwater, frazzle3
COR: wiz/warlock, dark shot before leaden
RUN: tenebrae + gambit/rayke just before skillchain
BLM: vidohunir (mythic ws) and death
As long as you don't damage the megaboss, it does not get an aura.
Builds tp on dahak with enwater provided by RDM.
RUN uses gambit, runes, then rayke.
RDM uses spontaneity on the BLM
Skillchain is { Vidohunir > Leaden > Death } x2 and its basically dead.
My group earlier today tried to replicate this without a BLM and it kinda works, we did Leaden > aeolian > leaden which did about 50% hp but then you still have to deal with aura.

Just in case it was not already clear - the Bruiser megaboss will first get an aura 30 seconds after it takes damage (and possibly any damage to the troll adds? will trigger the damage window timer). If it takes no damage, it will never get an aura.
The SMN burn method and the BLM Death MB method require that you kill the Bruiser megaboss in the 30 second window after you first damage the Bruiser megaboss.

Couldn't find much on Easy solo other than the video above which includes Monberaux so I thought I'd toss this out there.
E is probably not soloable (at least with any consistency) without Monberaux. I did maybe 20 attempts as a well geared BLU. Best strategy I found: Sub WHM. Use a remedy when the AoE crap hits (wipe paralyze and silence), silena your WHM (or others as needed). Trusts: AAEV, Selh, Joachim, Arciela, Cherukiki. I found AAEV much better at keeping hate than August, Selh is a must because the plague will drain your mages' MP.
The real problem I ran into is the hate reset and hundred fists. It takes a few seconds to use a remedy and silena, so if hundred fists is up, a trust will definitely be dead before your WHM can recover. I had better luck killing the Sharpshooter before the boss, but I never did manage to clear it. Perhaps NIN/WHM could do it this way, but I found even in decked out PDT / Cocoon etc, I could not tank hundred fists at all.

1 DPS focused on boss
Tank
Healer (Not a heavy healing requirement for N)
1 Support, preferably with an iteration of magic haste
Dies in like 3 minutes.

Just noticed something on my run today.
Removing RNG auras locks Pleiades Ray
Removing PLD auras locks Supersonic
We tried killing off all RNG to see if that would speed up our run, but quickly found out that the boss will get that ability unlocked again after all adds of that type are dead.
Just food for thought since this may open up other zerg/solo strats since the RNG locked ability is the most annoying.

An extra bit of info, on VD flash from the PLDs (they're also immune to silence?) on people on AoE duty can spell disaster in preventing them from getting TP in time to remove aura with/miss a physical AoE. Seems like whoever is standing closest will be the flash target, so it's good to have a GEO right on the PLDs if possible. Maybe this is a mechanic that always has been, not just in this Ambuscade and I just never knew about it?
Also it takes very little water damage to prevent TP moves from the Dahak. Subjob RUN hitting for 4/hit with Unda runes was enough.
Edit: this is called Super Speed now btw. Supersonic: Status Enhancement (AoE) Gains an undispellable magic absorption shield and regen effect.

Setup:
RUN WAR BLU COR RDM GEO
GEO uses Indi-Frailty, Geo-Malaise, and Entrust-Fury
BLU uses Tearing Gust (magic defense down)
WAR is there for Warcry/Savagery TP Bonus
COR does SAM roll and MNK roll (Subtle blow)
Everyone other than the WAR and BLU will spam Aeolian Edge/MB.
BLU and WAR target the main boss, it has about 570k HP.
The adds have about 200k HP.
On pull, RDM does Frazzle/Enwater and engages dahak with COR, GEO does dispelga followed by Dia II.
RUN will use gambit and flash as expected.
BLU and WAR skillchain is:
Full Break > Upheaval > Savage Blade(BLU) > Upheaval
BLU and GEO should magic burst off of this as much as possible.
WAR should use Fell Cleave afterwards.
If done correctly, they will all die at the same time.
