Great, thanks for the info. I figured and hoped that was the case, but wanted to be sure.

The wiki is way off on this, so I thought I'd ask and see if anyone knew.
If I do all the clears at v15 without climbing v0, will I have access to everything at v15 once they are all done or do I need to do the v0 climb also?
elucidate me how this is "way off"

I figured someone would get butthurt about this, I went and checked it after I got a reply here and realized it had been changed, it is now correct.
The issue was previously that the wiki indicated you gained access to v5 by clearing all of v0 at a given tier, nothing about requiring all v0 clears t1-4. So if you did t1 and cleared all v0, you should get access to t1 v5, based on the information at the time. Since SE doesn't have the vengeance level menu pop up until you can access it and is behind the mob selection, this resulted in a long running joke with my shell about how we are farming v0 gogamagog after I oops-i-accidentally us into it trying to get into v5.
It also was, at one point, not indicated that you need to clear a vengeance level in order to augment a piece (e.g. you can't augment with just a v0). I've been in RP parties no less than a half dozen times where people thought they could augment with a v0 clear and I've been told the same several times, which is not correct.
Both of these issues have recently been updated in the wiki, as told by the history of the page. So I asked the question to be clear, given that there is a lot of misinformation circling around, not just on the wiki. It's not a confusing subject, but it can be when you hear 3 different things from numerous sources about how it works. I didn't want to blow segments doing v15 (and soon v20) runs only to find I have to climb again, something I had been told previously by someone else (not the fault of the wiki)
I will take fault for the 'skip the grind' line, though, I missed that part

Some people have been able to augment pieces without clearing above V0. It's inconsistent, so either there's a glitch or an unknown factor somewhere.

Finally had some time to do a strat write up, along with the video they should help groups attempting max RP/Possible wins for these 3 NMs.
Quote: Ok, Video finally ready of V15 Shark, Dino, Lion wins in the same run (Xiutaru's video, there is also another version that Brigs recorded):
YouTube Video Placeholder
V15 Shark--->V15 Dino--->V15 Lion
The Dino and Lion were really mean this run on the full win, at some point I was at literal 1 HP >.>
My lag/FPS was so bad during the second aura of the lion, all i literally had time for was to spam panacea with great difficulty >.>
They were much tamer on the 2 prior "fail" attempts (1st was a practice run basically on SAT, we adjust a few sets and buffs and tried on Tuesday) We derped and lost to the Shark on the first attempt, but the Lion and Dino were much smoother. On the run where we beat all 3 of them.... well... the vid pretty much speaks for itself.
General Strategy Outlined Below:
Bahamut.Xiutaru2022-01-10 12:44:06
In the staging area before all fights, it’s ideal to get TP (tactician’s, adloqium, meditate/shikikoyo, etc.). If a pet is called (see DRG), can random deal so the person gets their JA back in case they need to recall the pet. Since entrusts can carry in, you can entrust various spells where desired.
Depending on who covers what jobs, keep in mind who needs to use which SPs. If you have someone that needs to use their SP for two different fights, you might need to spread the NMs apart so that they use their SP for one fight, then those that don’t need their secondary SP can Cutting Cards them in the staging fight, so they can get their primary SP back by the third NM. In our group, before the second fight, the SCH and GEO did cutting on the person that just got off BRD so that they could have their RNG Overkill available in case it was needed to help with Lion’s aura.
This list is in the order of who went what job for the 3 NMs (so NIN>RUN>PLD was the same person)
SHARK: NIN WHM WAR MNK BST BRD*
DINO: RUN SCH* DRG+ DRK GEO* SMN
LION: PLD* THF SAM RDM COR RNG*+
(* denotes the jobs that used primary SP in that fight, + denotes the jobs that used secondary SP in that fight). We could have probably used more, but none were really planned aside from BRD/GEO/SCH as the main ones for needing the SP; this can change based on who is on what job, etc.
In all of the fights, the NMs are pulled downstairs.
SHARK general roles:
• NIN – placeholder really. get TP when necessary; hold for aura. Ideally, you would want a BLU in this spot. We did not have a well geared BLU job available between the character's we used for this fight.
• WHM – buffs & heals
• WAR – DD; when aura goes up, opens with WS, everyone else follows
• MNK – DD
• BST – SwoopingZhivago - Killer Instinct; Swooping Frenzy; get TP when necessary; hold for aura
• BRD – SV/CC/NT minuet V, minne V, scherzo, water carol II, honor march; drop carol for victory when SV down
BST, WHM, and BRD were 20 yalms out to avoid damage from Marine Mayhem. WAR & MNK at opposite ends of the shark, bouncing hate. WHM keeps them topped off. When aura goes up, WAR opens with a WS, all other people with TP weaponskills right after. Ideally, this is everyone except the WHM; best for everyone to attempt just in case someone is slow.
DINO general roles:
• RUN – Unda x3 for valiance/vallation, otherwise kept a Tenebrae up for Vivacious Pulse
• SCH – embrava was used at 75%
• DRG – angon, savage blade spam; stop when first aura is up
• DRK – DD; multistepper when first aura is up
• GEO – bolster was used at 75%; did Inid-Fury/Geo-Frailty, entrust Barrier, but then swapped to Indi-Fury/Geo-Fend later, entrust Haste
• SMN – hastega II, crimson howl, crystal blessing, earthen armor, pacifying spam on DRG & DRK
GEO entrusted haste in staging area. DRG can get Naturalist’s roll & Regen V from SCH in the staging area to Spirit Link. The regen on the wyvern will carry in. DRG & DRK melee and WS freely until the aura goes up, at which point the DRK multisteps it off (Insurgency > Entropy > Quietus > Quietus can cover the first two auras). When the third aura went up, the DRK & DRG alternated Spiral Hell and Burning Blade.
LION general roles:
• PLD – tank
• THF – ranged attack; Empyreal Arrow (Tp bonus dagger, Ambuscade Bow, not sure which arrows he used, likely eminent)
• SAM – ranged attack; Empyreal Arrow
• RDM – buffer, debuffer, healer
• COR – ranged attack; Detonator, Random Deal to get Triple Shot/Double Shot back; this person was GEO for previous NM so didn’t have Wildcard available; use it if you have it.
• RNG – ranged attack; Detonator, Hover Shot
Straight forward. All able shooters are shooting. Aura is crit, so Armageddon works well. Only the RNG had one for this fight. If the COR had one, it would have increased the likelihood of removing the aura with crits.

Really thx for sharing it. I wonder how it's gonna change with V20.
One thing about this

To break the aura, it's much easier to just take THF to equip Tauret/gleti and go melee (can use Sneak attack too). Ofc you need to time it to not risk dispel. Our BRD is doing that in our regular Arebati and it proc !! super fast. THF is much better suited for this, so it will be even easier.

So, since the other thread is about how many segments you can get from boosting and people doing equations and formulas to work it out, how about discussion on actual new mechanics, so far this update seems to have been a royal *** you to geo as the fights are somewhat the same, except you bring a RDM instead of your GEO to deal with the add.
T1 - All seemed pretty simple, zerged quickly, no issues what so ever, bind and sleep works on the add
T2 - Done Krebs and Rasko
Rasko was a walk over, RDM for bind and Sleep on add Magic Burst setup
Krebs felt like it was broken, Sundering Snip would one shot instead of doing 60% of your HP, didn't matter what you did, we bought a BRD in here for Scherzo and Double Carols and it made it a joke.
This is as far as we got, will update when we get more information's.

Posting my findings as multibox setup. I've cleared prior all V15 multibox and it was challenging but this is on another level.
T1 all went well except gogmagog, almost timed out, these NM now seem to have some regen or something.
T2 - Done: Procne, Henwen, Giga
Procne - straightforward using arebati ranged strat, add didn't really harm the backline.
Henwen - Was kinda crazy, used blunt setup but somehow his aoe moves were destroying my setup, almost died but beat it eventually. Maybe move WHM outside of aoe? I thought to stay in for barrier cuz the add is unpredictable. Used PLD tank but lost hate when V15 I never lost hate before. Ochain should have blocked the hate reset but I guess not?
Giga - Was same setup as Henwen, blunt (MNK BLU with full support and RUN tank)
Trying other 3 and it's been hell.
Arist - Got to 35% then got wiped by high dmg, maybe from add or main NM. Standard slash setup, maybe need SMN to have earthen armor to block more dmg? Not sure
Kerbs - Couldn't nuke it down fast enough, it's like a mini-ongo at this point and not sure if I need to do 4 step SC like ongo with cor chaining with RUN?? Then add killed my BLM and backline .
Didn't try Rasko yet...

I don't know that Henwen has a hate reset on Barreling Smash. V15 didn't, so unless they added it with V20, the Monk (or whoever your buffed blunt DD was) usually just caps and steals hate at the wrong time. Can add SMN for Pacifying Ruby rotation so that it stays on the tank the whole time.

From the other thread, the adds give the NM's a large Regen so ignoring them might not be feasible sometimes.
By Guyford 2022-01-11 21:30:12
Taking dmg makes you lose some hate, barreling smash does alot of dmg and makes people think its a hate reset, but its not.

The mob turns often even when it does little damage, when harder hits on other NMs don't. I'm pretty sure it's a partial hate reset.
Enmity loss due to damage is also a very weak effect in this era of FFXI compared to hate generation.

We focused on Marmorkrebs & Raskov for our T2's yesterday.
Raskov was a pushover atleast.
Marmorkrebs took us 3 attempts, and we beat it even tho Tank d/c'd. Scherzo the Tank to avoid Sundering Snip oneshotting. We basically gravity2'd it during no Tank moment and kite+sc+nuked it until Tank got back.
Setup Run Sch Blm Cor Brd Rdm.
Adds can be Slept/Enfeebed.
Sch+Cor Skillchain Numbing Shot > Water for Fragmentation and Wind Magic Burst's for Raskov
and Last Stand > Ionohelix for Impaction on Krebs
T1's we just Melee burned, Tank DD DD Cor Brd Rdm, and swapped 1 DD for Whm for Sgili and Gog.

Hey, look, a thread for Odyssey NM strategies and discussion. Wild.
For anyone reading in the future, this other thread ran off topic and has a ton of testimonials from when V20 difficulty was introduced.

you can earn rp by failing any tier above v0, r15 augs dont need to be unlocked, just r20/25

Just copying this over from the other thread so it isn't lost.
So we've cleared all the T3s and have been trying for Bumba. We haven't actually used Rdm at all, so maybe people may find this useful. It's a lot of text though, so yeah.
To recap T3 stuff:
Our general strats for the V20 T3s really haven't differed much from the usual strats you'd see for V15; however, we basically included some defensive buffs (mainly a Minne or two) on the backline and made sure to keep the add debuffed with what we had available (Elegy, Slow, Para, Bio) and just let it whack whoever. I can't remember all the specific songs as I wasn't Brd, but our dear sweet Reain told me he'd list the songs specifically; maybe he'll make an appearance here soon. >;) Our general thought process on songs though was to be more defensive on the backline than usual and only add in defensive songs on DD when we felt it necessary to survive.
Also just wanted to add that we have a truly excellent Whm in our group who really saves our *** a lot on the regular with these fights, so we may be a little lucky in that regard!
These are some quick briefs on each T3:
Kalunga
Whm/Run/War/Brd/Cor/Drk
Pretty typical strat. Run tanks, debuff the add and just let it hit whoever; it seems to consistently go after whoever was second on the hate list as it stayed up with the DD. Before changing to Drk, I did try Drg because Drg Naegling with Angon/Fly High eats Kalunga alive, especially on V15, but I found it more of a pain keeping my wyvern alive on V20 due to mata's AoE autos and changed to Drk for more simplicity. Soul Enslave is quite nice to prevent TP moves from firing too for a bit post 25%. The Bio II from Drk on the add was a nice plus. Overall, not too bad of a fight and somewhat fast.
Arebati
Sch/Run/Rng/Cor/Brd/Geo
Standard V15 strat, except we used Indi-Barrier and saved Bolster at 75% as well to help keep the backline safer. Our Brd did give the Geo/Sch/Brd a Minne or two as well; I'm sorry I can't remember specifics here. Combined with a good Regen/Embrava, the pig wasn't much of a threat as it pounded the backline although they did need an occasional cure. We found the regen on this one to be particularly awful and really dragged the fight on. Having a strong Rng/Cor seems rather key to help end the fight afap. Ideally take down the aura, but I don't believe we did on ours. However, it did have MDB- aura, which seemed to really rock our Run. I had to work my *** off overtime to keep the Run alive post 50%, and our Run is quite strong. Tank needs Panas, a lot of them. Time was crunched a bit due to the regen.
Xevioooosa, not Xevioso
Whm/Sch/Sam/War/Cor/Brd
This one wasn't so bad; we found we really like double healer on this one for V15 and it seemed to work well on V20 too. Brd did standard DD songs with Wind Carol and I believe Scherzo on the Sam/War to help with any random one-shots. In addition to March/Ballad, he did some Minnes on the backline to help with the Chapuli randomly hitting us. Chapuli hate seems pretty random, so to help cover the Whm; I did some AoE Blink/SS and Aquaveil as Sch to help prevent any random spell interrupts. Sch is basically there to help cover the Whm while also providing Regen/Embrava/random cures/enmity buffs etc. After making sure the backline was defensive, the fight was pretty standard and cleared with plenty of time.
Ngai
Whm/Cor/Brd/Blu/Mnk/War
As usual, we didn't stray much from our standard set up on this. Be sure to use Scherzo on DD. Our Blu opened with AoE MG and then AoE Barrier Tusk when reset. If further resets, would AoE Nature's Med provided the aura was not Att down (Nature's Med won't work otherwise). Blu would also assist with possible AoE cures when necessary to help cover Whm. I don't recall precisely how the add's hate was, but it definitely went after the backline eventually so you'll want to help buff the backline with a Minne or two. Our cor Tact'd the backline to help assist with auras like usual. Thinking about it now though, it'd probably be nice to Gallant's roll the backline as well for further protection. Overall wasn't too bad, but during our clear a couple of our DD did die right near the end and our Blu just solo'd it down with help from the Whm.
Mboze
Whm/Cor/Brd/Blu/Bst/Drk
Standard strat of no TPing; however, be sure to buff the backline with a couple Minnes. To help combat the regen, our Brd/Cor/Bst would occasionally run in to Savage; Icarus wings are nice for free dmg. Since it's so unlikely to TP from 100% -> 75%, this is a good time to try to get extra dmg from the non-drk. You could potentially TP off the add to help with this, but I don't think we ended up doing so. It is a race against the clock somewhat, so you'll want to be rather aggressive on Drk and be sure to make good use of Scarlet and Armor Break. You will need to reapply Armor Break mid-way so be sure to do so and be sure to keep Wind Thren up to help ensure it lands. I've grown pretty accustomed to being the Drk on Mboze and a couple things that might help others that I've found I really like to do are...
--Turn around, take off Cureskin, Scarlet in 0 armor and hope the Tree does one of its physical auto attacks (it seems like 2/3 are physical while one is magical? You'll want an attack where it whips you basically; the magical auto attack is quite weak). This consistently results in a heavy hit but has never killed, allowing for a huge Scarlet boost. Coordinate with your Whm so they don't Cureskin you right before the hit and are ready to cure you afterwards. I haven't tried any Dmg+% gear myself yet; I think it might get a little too risky then. It's safe to do this tactic on Mboze with LR up.
--I like to DS/NV Absorb-Vit at the start to help push dmg, but then I'll try to land Absorb-Agi (and other Absorbs during Invince). If a reset gets DS (and NV), I've found I really like doing Absorb-Agi to give us a greater safeguard from TP attacks. Post 50%, I prioritize that DS/NV Absorb-Agi is up and then go for Absorb-Vit with possible resets of DS. Judging from Soul Enslavement tp drains on auto hits, I've noticed the dAgi bonus from DS/NV Absorb-Agi seems to be about 9 tp fed less per hit (can't speak to its potency with Lib, but might be especially worth doing after reapplying Armor Break if you have it).
Normally we run a Scherzo on Drk jic a non-Timber TP move does fire off, but we eventually settled on an extra Minuet and just banked on no TP moves. Might be interesting to try an Agi Etude in place though, especially if you don't have Dagon or Father Time Path B. Try to keep Bio II on the add as well, a good time to apply could be during Invince.
Ongo
Sch/Cor/Brd/Geo/Blm/Run
Same deal, we did a standard Ongo but gave some Minnes to the backline to help deal with the Tulfaire, which was bouncing among the backline. The Bird is mostly harmless as long as defensive buffs/gear/debuffs are present. As Sch, be sure to make sure to keep up AoE Aquaveil to help ensure no spells are cucked by the Tulfaire. If you do get into danger on the backline, turtle up, cure or vile elixir if you have to. This one was surprising to us. We did first try going on Earthsday for the additional dmg and managed to get it to less than 10% a couple times, largely due to some scuffed SCs and lack of resets. We did give it a shot on Watersday though and won np with a few minutes to spare. I don't believe we had a 5/6 WC either, but we did have some good Rayke resets and our SCs weren't scuffed (Sch makes Grav, Run Steel Cyclones, Cor closes with WF; the Cor and Run would SC together if strats were down).
Side note: our Blm was using Raetic +1 and helped supplement MP at times with Coalition Ethers.
And then Bumba...
This thing just sucks ***. We did about 8~ attempts on it before getting tired; we're gonna shoot to try again tomorrow. There appears to be an absolute boatload of RNG involved and can't be simply steamrolled like on V15 (although some runs we kind of were steamrolling it still...? More on that.)
A few notes:
-- It only appears to have 3 possible 2hrs it can use at V20, 2hrs we have seen:
Yaega
Brazen
PD
Edit 1/15: Saw Ele Sforzo the next day, likely can use all 6 2hrs!
-Yaega obv sucks ***. We saw this one the most, followed by Brazen, and only one PD out of our several attempts; RNG is RNG tho. Odds seem tho you aren't going to get the "good" 2hr. Bumba's 2hr does not appear to be linked to the type of add it spawns.
-- It only seems capable of spawning 3 types of adds and only one add per fight; this add will be spawned once Bumba 2hrs at 74%~. We've seen the following:
Chapuli
Matamata
Craklaw
Edit 1/16: Saw the Raaz and Snapweed today, likely can summon any of the T2 adds!
-The Mata appeared to stay on the second person with hate, so it'd stay up with the DDs for us. The Chapuli and Craklaw appeared to have erratic hate though. The Raaz really sucks and goes in hard.
-- Important!-- Unsurprisingly, it seems you WILL have to deal with fetters at some point, often around 50% or later. There wasn't nearly as much time to just kill it without worrying about fetters like on V15 (maybe about 2min roughly from pull on V20. It seemed to vary though for us; there might be other factors at play Edit 1/15: Appears it will spawn fetters 2min30sec~ from pull).
- Around post 50%, be ready for it to summon fetters if it hasn't already. At times though, there would just be one wave of fetters and they would go away for a while without us hitting any procs. It was pretty strange. Eventually though there would be fetters that would have a prolonged stay where you would need to try to proc it properly.
--All DD should bring several Panas at least to help the Whm. We noticed the fetters seemed to inflict an Att down effect that would bring your Att to 1 (believe this was present at V15 too), along with other parameter reductions (or maybe they're from a TP move from Bumba during fetters, really not sure); just bring Panas and use em, especially after Fetters.
-Denounce sucks, not really sure what causes it. It seems to use either Chastise or Denounce when fetters pop, so sometimes you won't see Denounce, at least not right away.
-- Important!!-- SOMETHING appears capable of wiping RR, so try to be prepared for that. Not really sure what it is. Thought it was Denounce but doesn't seem to be. If you aren't ready though, it is possible to wipe with no RR, which happened to us on a run.
- One time after a wipe, I got up from Arise and my Reraise effect was immediately removed. Someone in our group said Bumba appeared to roar upon one of us getting back up, so maybe that triggered it? I wasn't looking at Bumba at the time, so totally unsure. At the time, Bumba was completely idle.
Party Setup:
Started with: War/Drg/Brd/Cor/Whm/Blu.
Then tried: War/Drg/Brd/Cor/Whm/ Run
Settled on: War/Drg/Brd/Cor/Whm/ Geo.
Edit 1/15: Won with War/Drk/Brd/Cor/Geo
We basically tried to emulate a more defensive standard V15 setup and just kill it fast with brute force. It... kind of worked. You'll likely want a set up with more finesse if you're aiming for a consistent clear.
Buffs we settled on:
-Food: Everyone ate Miso Ramen.
-Songs: SV/CC Honor/Minuetx3/Madrigal
-Rolls: Crooked Chaos + Sam
-Geo: Indi-Attunement + Geo-Fury, entrust Barrier/Str
When it comes to the traditional melee set up, the main issue we found with this fight is RNG regarding the fetters, specifically when it would use Denounce with the Fetters. Some runs, we would just be steamrolling it well past 50% and even past 25%. Eventually they would spawn and the results would be a mixed bag. Sometimes we could survive them without issue (Bolster Attunement appeared to help quite a bit). Other times, Bumba would use Denounce with the fetters, cutting our HP by 90% and then fetters would clean us up (with gear/buffs though, some of us could survive this combo still; again the swap to Geo helped a ton). The MEva- aura (and I'd imagine MDB- aura) really sucked though for this kind of strat however.
A couple oddities/reaching theories:
One time, Bumba summoned Fetters around 50%~ish and Denounce'd, and the Denounce one-shot us all completely (like 3k+ dmg). No idea why, but it did have the Craklaw as its pet, so maybe that affected the properties of Denounce to be somewhat like Sundering Snip? This was the only Denounce that hit us like this of the night, afawr, and we did fight multiple Bumba's with Craklaw pets, so Idk.
Edit 1/19: We've seen Denounce hit for fatal dmg (100%+ player health) several times now with different pets; still not sure why it does that sometimes. PD from Smn works to block the dmg though, maybe Scherzo/EA too, unsure.
Further, I swear one time against a Bumba with a Chapuli pet, it summoned fetters around 50%~ish and we survived ok, but then it proceeded to spam the hell out of Chastise during the fetters, and this ultimately killed us. Maybe was just TP spam, maybe it was similar to a Chapuli's response to a player WSing it, Idfk. There was some weird *** ***that happened during this fight.
Edit 1/19: Think this was simply TP spam, but holy ***was it spamming like crazy lol
LASTLY, a Tale of Woe:
We strongly think a typical melee set up could work on Bumba V20 (with some defensive adjustments in gear/food/geo buffs), as we did get close a few times out of 8~ runs/attempts, and ONE TIME we absolutely would have won BUT the Matamata add decided to use Debilitating Spout literally when Bumba was at 7% and it hit all of the melee (full dispel and zombie). It was the only TP move it used during the fight, completely caught us off guard, and we honestly think it was pure RNG that it just so happened to use its worst move at truly the worst time. It did not appear to be scripted. We even actually survived (minus the Cor), but simply couldn't rebuff properly to finish it off; it was truly one of the worst feelings we've had in recent years playing FFXI. Next time, we'd just account for this possibility and have the DD who has the Mata's attention go to the other side of Bumba or something, just keep it not facing all the other DD.
Possible setups/jobs to try:
Smn might be a great choice for a melee centered fight. I feel like the combination of AF Wind's Blessing with Noctoshield could be a huge boon for fetters. Along with other useful Smn buffs, the possibility of using Perfect Defense (maybe even multiple times provided resets) could be super useful for dealing with the dangerous later portion of the fight.
By Vaerix 2022-01-15 16:08:21
--Important!-- Unsurprisingly, it seems you WILL have to deal with fetters at some point, often around 50% or later. There wasn't nearly as much time to just kill it without worrying about fetters like on V15 (maybe about 2min roughly from pull on V20. It seemed to vary though for us; there might be other factors at play).
Posted by others in the other thread, reposted for continuity, the regen provided by the add might have something to do with the faster boss clock on bumba.

Hello, I’m trying to solo rp farm t3 v15 on BST using ooze method but having trouble landing it.
Does anyone have the exact start down and how to land ooze? Also what’s the best trusts to use while trying to land ooze?

you can earn rp by failing any tier above v0, r15 augs dont need to be unlocked, just r20/25 They do, was bugged when first came out where you could get rank 15 with V0 clear, but now you can just enter v15 to get rank 15 as far as i know, hence his post about inconsistent.

Run Wild
Familiar
Full Pet Magic Accuracy Set
Pet Magic Accuracy Food (Marine Stewpot so that it hits trusts, especially Rainemard since he uses Frazzle II and it's helpful to have it land)
*Preferably Master BST or some MLs added on
**Preferably MM45 or at least 38+ for survival/minor stat vomit
Summon Trust tanks to hold the monster, maybe some healers. Summon Rainemard. Engage boss for Tandem Strike, Fight with pet and attack once yourself to activate the bonus, then run out of range. Can try using Purulent Ooze a few times, carefully timing it between attacks, and if things get really bad, can Unleash > Purulent Ooze. You have to be really lucky to get it to land. I wasn't able to with everything I had on my BST, but apparently it can land on some bosses. But that's the basic rundown of it.

You don't need anything for r15, you could get r15 by winning v1 a ton of times, it doesnt have to be unlocked at all.
Even if you fail v5 on your first attempt after clearing v0, you get rp and can aug gear and the aug goes to r15, thats what happened with us on mboze when it first came out.

Was bugged when first came out where anyone with V0 clear could get to R15, since they ninja patched it people who had V0 clear can still get R15 but not if you beat V0 now. Now you need to enter V15 to get R15 as far as i know.
Hmmm...
Initial Speculations:
Looks like they took components of Walk of Echoes (setting), and Elemental Circles and brought it together.
They must of learned new ideas through the Lilith HTBF and how they can play with those elemental fetters to create unique battlefield environment and apply further stress with them..
Instead of Abyssea, this may be a Walk of Echoes 3.0? Anything iLvl 140+ .. We are ready!
Keep this thread clean, hoping to post critical details and discuss strategies.. Eventually I will create a Node on this with full details.. We can then update BG-Wiki with information that we gather..
Those of you who play on Nasomi.. Please don't post on here, you have a Fafnir to camp.. so get back to work.. This is isn't Bubbly Bernie version 3.0. He will be OG 1.0 forever on Nasomi.. ^_^
Sorry about the delay on updating this as I have been slammed with a lot of work since COVID-19 defense ramp up procedures at my hospital facility.
I have barely had time to update and barely any time to explore this content myself. I appreciate everyone's work so far. I will update this OP Thread with some resources and information that people have found across all servers including videos and screenshots..
Keeping this as a basic vital post highlight source so as new posts with vital information emerges I will just pin it here so it is all in one space and no need to jump around different pages..
To Begin.. The Basic Release Info from SE:
Some First Initial Basic Discoveries:
looks like you enter through Rabao
And you have 30 min to kill a bunch of trash mobs. Probably a boss at the end too.
More Initial Entry Discoveries Pinned:
About to enter Odyssey for the first time.
I'll report back. Setup is PUP, COR, BLU x2, SMN, RDM
Ok, it's looking like they made this content specifically to prevent BLUs from cleaving through this content.
Only main target took full damage. Surrounding targets took 90% reduced damage (main targeet 15k, all others 500 or less)
All mobs can be fully enfeebled (Sleep, Silence, Slow, Para) but standard rules apply for mob types (we saw Skeletons, couldn't Blind them)
I can very easily see a RUN or PLD tank running in and aggroing the group of mobs, with a BRD sleeping them all. 2 DDs kill one by one with proper support. SMN Bloodpacts were doing full damage on single mobs (same rules for BLU applied for SMN when we tried Thunderspark for lulz)
At the end, we found a group of mobs (bats) with a Fetter and a group of untargetable Yagudo. We cleared the bats, then killed the Fetter. Once the Fetter is killed, the Yagudo become targetable. For killing all of the Yagudo, you get 10 Izzat.
In total, we farmed 20 Izzat. We'll try using them tomorrow on boxes, maybe even spawn an NM. After we killed the fetter, a conflux spawned that gave us the opportunity to spawn a monster for 10 Izzat. We were low on time, so we just chose to exit.
Player with Trusts.. First Experience Testimonies:
Went in with trusts. Was able to 1 shot most things with leaden.
Yield: 31 scales and 3 scale boxes (from the chest).
Edit: Chests gave 11, 13 and 16.
More Vital Data Testimonies Discovered:
Random info:
-Killing trash gave izzat and lustreless scales
-Using 10 izzat to pop chest gave 2 scales and a box
-Killing fetter made untargetable yagudo killable, giving 10 izzat killing them all
-Popping NM with 10 izzat from ethereal junction spawned a red morbol that did blood weapon and dropped 2 boxes of scales
-Not sure what items you need to trade to junction to spawn monsters
-Was unable to use the thing at the start after killing fetter/yagudos/morbol, may have to kill all trash? I looked around and missed a pack, timed out before I could kill them all
-Moogle keeps track of trash killed, physis, and chests, and the power of your alter egos while in odyssey (Moogle Mastery)
More Testimonials and Discoveries..
Does anyone know what is needed to clear the RoE for Sheol A?
You need to run (can do on sneak/invi, only trasnparent mobs are true sight/sound) to last floor (A7) using confluxes. On last floor there is Otherworldly Vortex mentioned in RoE quest. You need to touch it (it lets you leave Odyssey too) to complete the quest. Credit for that info goes to Mischief from Bahamut.
Here is a video of my first experience with Odyssey:
YouTube Video Placeholder
Tried exploring, found more information
- I didn't realize there was a conflux on each floor to move up
- Each floor increases in mob level, capping at 131, and general nastiness of monster family (manticores, giants I remember on last floor)
- Translocators bring you down to previous levels, so the first floor one doesn't work until you find the higher level ones
- One character got stuck on a floor and couldn't move up, nor did they get the RoE objective upon someone else reaching the top
So for soloers, seems like it's best to stick to lower level floor to farm scales, more experienced parties can move up to desired difficulty for more scales. First time in would be best just getting the RoE objective and unlocking translocators.

More Info about Moglophone KI's:
Anyways did a solo run this morning and got about 100 scales from just killing trash in first floor. Wondering what others are getting from parting up vs solo.
edit: Also can you hold one Moglophone KI on you, and then have the moogle hold one?
I was wondering this too. I picked up my KI last night and am holding it until later today and going to see if I can run two times in a row.
You can. I used my ki after few hours yesterday and when I checked moogle timer was at 15h, so it was going down while I had KI on me.

Bahamut.Lexouritis said: »Maybe Mischief will post about it, he figured it out on his mule. I'll try and post what i know, but it seems like we skip everything and just kill the fetters, mobs around the fetters, and sometimes the UNM near the fetters.
Bahamut.Lexouritis said: »and if u get to the final thing upstairs, personal chest for everyone.
Not sure if someone said it already, but you CAN store a KI. So only need to farm every 2 days!
I am confused on how people move up using sneak and invisible, in this run I explored everything, vortexes just said "you can't use this yet", or let me summon an NM but never move somewhere else, even after i killed the fetter, all the guards, the NM, opened one chest, and killed about 90% of all the mobs. If anybody can spot where in this video I should have been able to "move up" it would really help: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5i9GhE5nO3I
thanks At the mandies in your run. Just hug left wall and you'll find it. It took me a while to find the first flux as well, but the rest were less "hidden". A video was posted a couple pages ago showing the route.

Bahamut.Lexouritis said: » It rewarded me again with a box + 50k gil.
did u kill a fetter? Seems like 50k per Fetter and 1 box per fetter (per character). The big Box from RoE seems to be just 1 time thing. The smaller boxes seem to be fetter based?
Killing all 4 fetters netted us about ~70 scales per run per person after touching otherworldy vortex.
Edit: With RoE quest being completed in a run, was more like 110-130.
So how many scales is it per upgrade? Didn’t see on Bg-wiki and don’t feel like shifting through posts on here. Should be just under 12 stacks to max. Based on scales only being worth 5rp instead of 10 :/
Clip to the top and nab the box, in and out, 5 minute adventure.
For realsies? SE let content like that out after the mass-ban clipping/duping-alex adventures get onto the live server? Thought they learned their lesson since the AMAN trove boxes can't be scouted via Hex IDs. The box he means is the one from completing the RoE once. You can walk to it in 6-7 mins without speed hacks anyway. The big deal about completing the RoE is you can start augmenting your gear at that point.
Well if dude already finished a piece few days after update, there isnt much time gate here it seems.
Probably just the appetitizer was released (im on a work trip, cant "enjoy" the new content till weekend...)
He finished because he bought scales or have legion of mules. Regular player with 1 account will need realistically around 10-14 days for one piece farming daily.
Traded 5 Emperor arthro shells to vortex (dunno how many it took from inventory, might have only taken 1 of the 5). Summoned Brachys, a crab that had a high ass counter rate and instantly killed me on my thf in one attack round. 500+ damage counters with no DT set. Likely not advisable to spawn mobs solo with trusts.

So looks like if you solo, go for trash and farm with th4+ and for group you kill featers and go touch otherwordly.
Unless maybe kill 2 featers solo and go to the top? You could open 2 chests that way and get 2 boxes. So in theory maybe even get 4 chests and some scales from farming.

I'm not sure if you need to just kill the fetters or the fetters + all the semi-invisible beastmen around the fetters.
It's possible to kill a fetter without aggro from the semi invisible beastmen that are sight aggro like Yagudo and Orcs. I'm assuming Quadav will sound aggro which makes them easier to gather in a group.
On the first day, when I duo'd with my cousin on RUN and me on COR with a THF4 set, we killed 1 fetter but stopped killing the semi-invisible beastmen because they were not dropping anything. Not all of the beastmen aggro'd. Only the Yagudo beastmen that were in sight of us or each other aggro'd us. Care needs to be taken by support in this case as support will get aggro'd if they rush in too early before the tank has claim on everything. These mobs hit very hard.
Definitely go in with at least th4 if solo farming just trash mobs.
Go in with a full, balanced party to maximize drops from fetters. The fetters are easy to kill. The beastmen hit hard and have a little more hp than common trash mobs. Helps to sleep them too as they can easily overwhelm even the toughest of tanks.
Me and a group of peeps went in yesterday, to do some testing.
Killing a fetter + beastman group rewards 10 izzat, no special drops were seen, we did not have a thief, just a range using bounty shot.
Gonna test farm some nms tonight. i tried to spawn 1 today with my alt using unity items, turns out 1 is not enough.
My second run of this is probably the best I can do.
Went in, killed all normal monsters, Feters and Beastmen, killed all of the Yaguado. I had 20 Izzat, spawn a Unity NM Which was a Sporebat type mob that died in a 4 step SC. This NM used Blood WEapon, the NM I tried yesterday used 100 fists and rek'd me.
I got 90 Izzat from Monsters and 22 from the 2 boxes that I got from NM and a chest I used them on. The only thing I didn't do on Floor 1 was spawn the Junction that said "Item can be used to pop something here" I had 3 Sarama Hides, 2 Thuban Things and neither worked, nor did a combination of them work.
All of my drops were done with TH2 from Gear.
Few unanswered questions:
How is the augmentation to Trust power in Odyssey earned? I believe the requirement must be more than simply killing sets of trash mobs and making it to the otherworldly at the end.
Rewards upon reaching end were:
360k gil from a group that killed everything on first floor, 2 NM's popped.
100k gil for solo killing 2 groups (4 izzat) worth of scrubs and reaching end.
On another run I also got 100k gil for solo killing more scrubs (4 sets I think.
Seems like the NMs from either spawn point will be one of the 119/122 unity NMs with similar mechanics, but not exactly the same as my morbol didn't go through 3 stages and only did blood weapon. May be a good ideal to either focus on repeatedly killing one to raise its kill count for the moogle or killing all of them at least once. Can't wait for Pandemonium Warden v3 in the future lol Yep. Surprised the hell out of us.
But as I said I was getting 100k for just clearing a couple of easy rooms and heading for the exit solo for the RoE.
Thinking about it, we did a bit more than the first floor full clear on that run, did a second fetter and agon mobs and popped another NM at least. spawn a Unity NM Which was a Sporebat type mob
What method did you use to spawn this nm?
So there seems to be 2 spawn methods, Unity Item (I think 5 minimum) or Izzat once you have killed a fetter.
In terms of the invisible mobs I don't know if its a coincidence or not but every time they have aggro'd they go after my GEO and no other character. Dunno if the bubble is causing something funky to happen.
It should be possible, to kill fetters on all floors + escape as low as 3 man, I cleared everything in my run and had about 3 minutes to spare but a lot of it was goofing about looking at chests etc. I'd say 4 man would be the most optimal though as you can't really AOE.
Only flaw would be is that the fetters on floors seem to be placed randomly so you could get screwed over on travel times but imagine if you wanted to eat some taco's and take that risk you could and do it no probs.
My second run experience soloing on COR with trusts:
Leaden Salute all the things
Tact/Sam with august, ygnas, monb, star sybill, koru
Killed everything on floor 1 and 4 groups on floor 2
30 izzat but could only find 2 chests to open
both chests only dropped 1 box each so was a little unlucky
TH4
Ended up with 135 scales. Could have been alot higher if I found a third chest and if the chests dropped more than 1 box each.
(I also got a message saying 'moogle magic II' when I killed a regular enemy. Must be to do with the total amount of things killed.)

As stated multiples times already here, you can sneak/invisible to maneuver around the mobs here. However..
The invisible mobs appear true sight and/or sound, so you have to be cautious of them.
Appears that killing fetters gives personal loot. We all got a box.
You can solo for the RoE if you want following the guidlines above.
Competing RoE gives you 1 large box.
Clear is NOT party wide and each person must touch it individually for credit. (Also recieved 60k gil, we cleared 1 fetter/quadavs, and the mob family near it)
Didn't notice until after fetter and invisible mobs were dead, but one or the other gave 10 izzat.
Have tried a few different unity mats for unm 119/122 and traded 5 to pop a NM. NM that spawned was of the same mob family as items traded.
Tonight ill be going in with my COR GEO duo. How do you do the fetters? Kill the surrounding mobs then attack the fetter while trusts keep you alive with invisible beastmen smacking you? Then the beastmen?
Pull and kill regular mobs, until you see opportunity where nothing is close to fetter (there is always a moment when there is max 1 mob close to it at some point). Kill fetter fast (It's easy to kill. One good 2 step SC will kill it), then kill remaining mobs. I wouldn't try to aggro more than few mobs in general when solo or duoboxing, especially if you dont have Malignance set on COR.
Something of note to add was that our rng and cor were doing 0 dmg to the fetter from distance and had to move much closer to do any damage. This may relate to how aoe does much reduced damage. Max gil reward is higher than we thought, just got 495k from today's run.
Btw force popping nm's uses a single UNM mat, not 5. And they cannot be reused within the same run. Spawning NM appears to be unrelated to what you use to pop.
So far NM's we faced: Tipuli(fly),Aegupius, harpe(weapon),leucippe and physis (morbol).
Moogle mastery ranks up as you kill stuff, @287 kills, 8x NM and 2 chests we at Mastery III.

Do you need to touch the flux on the top floor to get the gil? Or when does the gil actually get distributed to you? Yes, you have to leave personally to get it, and as always if other party members are fighting its locked out.

Pull/kill regular mobs with ranged attack. Run in to fetter with max 1 or 2 shadows aggro. Kill fetter > kill the rest.
Just look out what you aggro. Aggroing BLM mob that stand close to middle will probably result in mass link eventually. Regular mobs dont link at all, but transparent mobs (before and after killing fetter) do.
Each flux takes you to a higher floor. There are 7 floors with the 7th floors flux being the exit and the RoE objective.
Each flux takes you to a higher floor. There are 7 floors with the 7th floors flux being the exit and the RoE objective. Not sure if it was mentioned, but looks like you can't pop the same NM twice from UNM mats in the same run. Popped once on first floor, and later on the 4th floor it gave a message saying we couldn't pop the same NM again.
Sharing Shamgi's notes posted in the BST forum for relevant details:
Ok, just went into an Odyssey and discovered some things:
1. You can charm things in there. Things seemed to be fairly simple to charm, and Charm+ gear meant that my dhalmel stayed charmed 15+ minutes.
2.Charmed pets seem to be quite strong. Beyond the normal HP, they seemed to have fairly high damage, hitting other mobs in their own pack for 4-600 a swing, with crits as high as 900. My Dhalmel once used Berserk and those numbers got pretty big, same with their Sound Wave move. My record was a crit for 1500 or so. This is with NQ food and no other pet related buffs. I had one crawler end up at 74% when it killed another crawler in the pack, likely benefiting from all the DA and Haste.
3. Pets seem quite effective at killing the Halos. They hit hard already, but notably, they aggro nothing, not even the Beastmen around the Halos when doing so. The Halo produces a damaging AOE every couple of seconds that was hitting for 200 or so, but the pet, with it's 40k+ HP, doesn't care at all. Indeed, I left the pet to it's own devices and killed other packs with trusts while it worked the halo down itself, which actually seemed quite nice. When it died, the Orcs around it didn't aggro, so it was easy to pull them one by one, as they don't link either.
4. Mob spawns are random, which can hurt this strat, but from two runs a majority of the packs seem charmable, and many of them are often pretty powerful. Given the strat above, I feel like a monk style pet would be best here.
Overall, I'm super interested in trying this with a full group where you can use the pet to deal with adds while you work on a pack yourself and to safely kill Halos while you clear other things.
One issue was Sic, the recast was way worse than I remembered, and my lua isn't set up at all to deal with it. My best guess is to just set up my gearswap to always produce a physical damage set for Sic and then just use pets who focus physical damage with their TP moves. If it's a buff move, then no big deal, if it's physical then it's the right set.
They do link, my experience has been all sight linking though (fought orcs and yags so far). Do not link with the Fetter though, found this out by trying to range attack the fetter down, only to realize the fetter is immune to auto-range attacks.
They do link, my experience has been all sight linking though (fought orcs and yags so far).
Well its kinda expected. Orc, Yagudo and Goblins are all sight aggro/link. Quadavs are sound aggro/link and it's how they are in Odyssey too.
They arent immune to ranged attacks you just need to be stood in the fetter to do damage.
So not immune to ranged attacks, but immune to any attacks from a range. XD
As with all farming things it's more efficient to solo, if the kill speed is high, like 119 content. 6 solos have 6x more chances for boxes.
Luck's definitely a factor; and yeah I think solo probably is best.
I think a lot of it has to do with people finding each other, people needing to sneak/invis themselves, and having to stagger the flux (so it doesn't glitch out). Was a lot of wasted time there.
Was just curious if other groups were experiencing it as well.
Went in as Pup/Whm. Killed 3 Fetters, champion NM on floor 7 after fetter, and a few other random mobs using automaton only.
Literally no drops + exit only gave me 5k gil.
I wonder if you need to take an action on the fetters or something yourself before you can get drops or credit for killing them.

I wonder if you need to take an action on the fetters or something yourself before you can get drops or credit for killing them. As group you are suppose to kill Fetter at floor 1,3,5 and 7 and run to otherworldy vortex at the end. You should get 4 PERSONAL box from otherworldy that way and I think one more personal box from killing beastman kings at floor 7 (they are around Fetter there).
So thats 5 personal chests
At least 40 Izzat to open chests
Probably at least 40 single scales from killing trash around fetters if you take at least TH4 with you.
Small boxes are on avg around 13 scales?
So probably around 70-80 scales at least per person, maybe more if you have time to farm more.
Very good geared solo player on specific job like COR, can get more with luck, but it might be other bonuses from killing fetters and NMs that we might dont know about.

No, you need to kill Fetter AND beastman mobs around it to get credit for personal box at the end and 10 Izzat. I assume you killed only Fetters.

As far as getting these telepoints, mentioned on BGwiki's Odyssey page that you're supposed to be able to travel between to get to further levels of Odyssey, does anyone have any info on the requirements to gain access to these? Do you have to kill all of the fetters to go up a floor? Also, has anyone tried going in with a group of six and then disbanding and everyone using their own trusts to expediate the process of both killing enemies on every floor, taking care of all the fetters on a floor and then popping the nm's so that you might progress to these tele-points if those happened to be the requirements? I know some players might have found that they can farm higher amounts of the Lustreless Scales solo rather than teaming up but if you go in with 6 and then make you're own parties with trusts.. and there are multiple telepoints with up to say 15 sets of mobs and fetters then the possibility of having a high return still might be worth it.
Another thing i noticed maybe means nothing but i saw some pixels floating out of nowhere that seemed like a mobs name. Maybe a glitch? Or the others maps? Or a random mob?
I'm sure people regularly killing fluxes/beastmen already knew this, but AoEs that would have hit the untargettable/invisible beastmen will still generate enmity on them, so people should watch for that if they're sleepgaing or horde lullabying fodder.
We spawned an NM in today's run.
Brachys: Crab NM (PLD/MNK)
Had a pretty decent (25-30%) Counter rate. Bubble Curtain's Shell effect reduced enspell (RDM with Crocea Mors) dmg to 0 unless it was dispelled. Used Invincible at 25%. Easily landed enfeebles (Slow, Para, Blind, Frazzle, Distract) Pretty easy fight overall.
It was spawned using 10 Izzat after we killed Fetter + Beastmen mobs surrounding it.

Seems I ranked up when I killed an Agon Bruiser.
The augment system is “tiered”. I’m working on my alts Emeici +1.
Ranks 1-5 give +2 damage. Ranks 6-10 give +2 damage, +3 acc/macc. I assume ranks 11-15 give +2 damage, +3 acc/macc, +2 crit rate.
That’s a neat way to do it, it incentivizes the more expensive ranks.
Just had a bad solo experience... turns our not all popped NM's are soloable. Do not recommend popping the nm's for 10 izzat.
Got a cactus who would constantly triple attack and did 600 normal / 1200 crit per attack round. August got insta-KO then healer then myself within 7 seconds.
