You had to be "cancelled" a few days before it started, if you were it should be automatic.
You can set it "to be cancelled" before it runs out and it might work, not really sure. Obviously too late this time, but december!

It will be “to be cancelled” up until the rebill date, IIRC. On date of rebill, or day after, it will be cancelled. So, since free started today, your rebill/cancel date should have been aug 1st…ish. Right, but if say on july 25th you set your account to "to be cancelled" and your reup date was 8/3
would you get free play or not. I'm not certain. Like you can start today, and cancel immediately, but it won't be "cancelled" it's "to be cancelled" An account has 3 states of being (4 I guess banned, lol) Recurring, no free play. Cancelled, free play. To be cancelled ? I don't think my macros loaded /grumble

BGWIKi says 5 days is a cut off date to get free play. I have one guy ended at 18th and another at 19th so I guess I’ll see.

Edit: Kind of weird, one of my multibox accounts is still not able to access. Another one can login. Both expired long ago. Edit: Nvm, both can login now, probably just some delay in free to play in activating the accounts. *** me. I know it may be common sense, but I had no idea ID's had to be active to access world transfer.
Funny. The free login campaign is up but the 1/2 off world transfer campaign is not. When I try and world transfer the fee total is still $18 USD. They probably threw us an extra day or the intern hit a button too early.
I think Free login has to be activated on individual accounts so they probably started the batch job early.
They always kinda start free play early its weird. Discount starts as normal.
My calendar alarm just went off. Drat, I think I missed a JP midnight.

As I said before, I don’t know my *** from my elbow when it comes to tech so I try to run my mouth. However, that sounds so archaic lol Also worth noting that if you cancel your 'account', it does not qualify for F2P.
I learned this the hard way. You need to cancel the 'services' (aka characters) for it to qualify for F2P event. SE for some reason allows you to cancel both. So the first time I deactivated my sub I did not realize there was a difference. The best way to do this is to use Crysta every month (I would buy and apply two months of crysta at a time) and simply let the sub expire.
The wording implied this began in the early morning of PST on the 23rd, but seems to be a day earlier? Oh well, time to enjoy the freebie while we can.
Whatever way they do it "starts" early so it's fully set by the "official" start time. It doesn't get everyone at once.

That characters mules (will?) get deactivated if you pay for the main now. If you have no mules or dont care about mules then it's meaningless. Just want to make sure i'm not invalidating myself for future campaigns haha. How long does server transfer take? I made the request like 30 min ago, logged out of POL, only checking in every few min to see where they are...my mule is still on Asura.
SE web portal shows Carb, but in game is Asura. Yeah I know you have to log out, it blocks you from doing a transfer if you're logged in.
I didnt see anything about "remain logged out for X minutes", but I also dont read. I'm in the GM queue now, yay. edit: took about 70 min to hear from the GM, but the task is done. I smuggled goods over the border! They really should slap a big "please dont log into POL for 10 minutes" on the server transfer page.
