Quite the opposite. RCP was dinged for failing fact checks, thereby resulting in a lower rating of "mostly factual." To put in in simple terms, RCP has some questionable sources for data used in their polling...so it isn't trustworthy.

Where does your link say anything about polls? RCP isn't just a poll aggregate, it's an aggregate for various media articles and opinion pieces. Fivethirtyeight does some of the same. Every poll that RCP uses Fivethirtyeight uses too. So if their polls are from "questionable sources" then Fivethirtyeight isn't any different.

Ahhh...so your premise is that the "questionable" data obtained by RCP is being used for something else on their site, and that their polling data is pure and clean. Have I got that right?


Seems to me that if they use the same polls, and yet their aggregate numbers come out different from one another, something is fishy. When checked, it was determined that RCP's numbers were unable to be fact checked, whereas 538 had proper sourcing for their information.

The only thing that is fishy is that you have no clue what you're talking about. When you go to the RCP site and see their polls, there are links that take you directly to the polling outfits that performed the polls. The numbers used on RCP's site are those very numbers.

538 uses the numbers from the same polling outfits (and more), manipulates them on various criteria, and uses those manipulated numbers in their aggregates.

Where on Earth are you seeing that RCP's polling numbers couldn't be "fact-checked" while 538's could? If you're talking about the media bias thing you shared, it doesn't say that .

If you’ve made it this far, please keep in mind that the Smithfield meat processing plant that has become a COVID-19 hotspot, and precipitated the reporter’s question, is in South Dakota, not Denver. And antibiotics have never solved viruses.

I do wonder if Trump was just conflating two actual events, which makes me wonder if there is/was something else going on in Denver.

Either way, it's practically unreadable and obviously antibiotics don't do squat against viruses. All I gotta say is that there are going to be some interesting debates if we ever get to them. It'll just be a battle of who can keep it together longer.
