Not really. It’s never hit the 3% or 4% he touted he could bring about. 2018 he got close to 3% by juicing growth with a 1.5 Trillion dollar tax cut. Last year it was 2.3% which lines up as average since the Great Recession of 2008. The dip is due businesses slowing down on investments. His average so far is 2.5% annually.
To compare with the previous administration, the average growth annually was 2.2% over the course of 8yrs.
The best the economy ever was 1997-2000 with 4% and 3% mid 2000s.
TLDR: not really any better than Obama’s and nowhere near GWB’s and Clinton’s.
