i doubt it cause anyone who has controversial views and shares them publicly is usually very concerned about their anonymity.

just in case you guys catch some asuran fists flying make sure to take pics and vids and share with the rest of us.

What if someone impersonates someone at the festival and does this? (Claims to be certain person but isn't that person while doing this?)

its not everywhere and on every subject but i imagine the risk is pretty high in the ffxi community.

most who do those things insist they don't do anything wrong. if thats really how they perceive it they shouldn't be afraid to be called either of those in person.
however i'd be more worried that someone doesn't know boundaries and starts weird stuff.

This just shows that even the fringe of FFXI: RMT, bots, cheaters and dupers are FFXI fans. It takes all kinds to make a community. Far too many people are beyond simple FFXI fandom. For RMT, bots, cheaters and dupers to exist, addiction to the game exists.

Sadly, people will be people.

Some of us, like me, have been playing this game since JP beta in our teens. I still play mostly vanilla in honor/natsukashii of my JP friend Spataru before the first expansions came out.

Spataru taught me not to be overly dependent on gear and to value friendship. He would solo difficult NMs in full level RDM AF artifact at level 60. Then take off pieces of gear each day till he was too weak to competently solo with as minimal gear as possible. He would scold me every time I would toss him a cure.

These days, I have over powered master jobs and more OP gear than I have inventory space. I prefer to bring people to my level so there are more people to adventure with on the hardest content.

Thank you Spataru for teaching me to value skill and friendships.
