In the interest of being fair, all I’m asking for is a 2+ year investigation led by a special counsel with wall-to-wall news coverage for the duration where a vast majority of the reporters present their information with the underlying assumption of guilt.
It’s a reasonable request. After all, if Biden did nothing wrong then why would he object to being investigated for a couple years?

I should note that the convictions against his campaign staff had little to do with the reason the investigation was opened, however.

Where is the evidence that predicated the investigation? When you look at the convictions, they’re for unrelated financial crimes and lying to investigators. In other words, no hard evidence was required to start the investigation because no convictions match the initial purpose of the investigation. Suspicion launched the investigation, meaning there is just as much justification to investigate the Bidens as there was to investigate Team Trump.
