Plus he hasn't even been impeached
Yes, he has. You should read up on the process, but the House did in fact impeach Trump. It's done. The Senate will now handle the trial of whether or not to remove him from office. That is not expected to happen, since the GOP holds the majority.

Also they said they were going to impeach him before he even took office anyway, which makes a total mockery of the entire thing.
Like I said earlier he's not even impeached yet. The house voted on doing it, yet hasn't actually done it. Once Peloski signs the papers and turns them in, then he's impeached.
It's like if the police are done an investigation and pass it to the prosecutor who then publicly says they are pressing charges, prepares the case documents then doesn't files the case with the court. Has the person then been charged with a crime? The answer is no they haven't, not until the court is notified that they have been. This is where the Due Process clause kicks in, the Government must follow it's own procedures, including civil and administrative procedures.
So far Peloski hasn't followed due process and submitted the articles of impeachment to the Senate upon which the House will designate a prosecutor. In other words, the prosecutor hasn't filed the incitement to the court and thus the defendant hasn't been charged.

Who are 'they'? The first 2 years of Trump's presidency had both the Senate and the House led by the GOP, so impeachment was never brought up. It was in 2018 that the Democrats took the House, and even then Pelosi was against impeachment. It was only when Trump withheld aid from the Ukraine in exchange investigations into his political opponent that impeachment became a thing.
I see a lot of Trump supporters claiming 'they' have wanted impeachment since day 1, but no one knows who 'they' are.

Sorry, Democrats don’t get to add on a new witness every time they think they have something or the trial would never end. If they hadn’t done such a partisan rush job to begin with then maybe they could have put together articles of impeachment that aren’t complete garbage. The turtle can and should shut the Democrats down and shown them the same consideration that the Republicans got in the House.

Quote: ...
The White House is considering making the case that Mr. Trump has not been impeached based on an opinion piece by Harvard Law Professor Noah Feldman on Bloomberg's opinion page Thursday. Feldman was one of the legal experts called by Democrats to testify before the House Judiciary Committee earlier this month and has advocated for Mr. Trump's impeachment and removal from office.
"Impeachment as contemplated by the Constitution does not consist merely of the vote by the House, but of the process of sending the articles to the Senate for trial," ...
However, Harvard Law Professor Laurence Tribe wrote on Twitter that he disagreed with Feldman's analysis, saying that "under Art. I, Sec. 2, Clause 5, he was impeached on Dec 18, 2019. He will forever remain impeached. Period." That portion of the Constitution says that the House of Representatives "shall have the sole Power of Impeachment." ... TLDR: Impeachment has NOTHING to do with the senate. The trial has everything to do with the senate.

You’re right. They can repeat the process and commit political suicide any time they desire. But for right now they don’t have a leg to stand on to demand witnesses.

I never said the House didn't have the power of impeachment, Nancy Peloski can have it done in about 15 minutes if she's already got the documents wrote up. She just needs to stand up, take the paper, sign it and walk it to the Senate records keeper and drop it off. It's that the house hasn't impeached him. They merely voted that they would impeach him.
It's really silly semantics I know, yet it has a powerful meaning because it outlines how insane the Democrat controlled house is right now. The only thing stopping the House from impeaching the President is the house who have already decided to impeach him yet haven't actually taken the step to finish impeaching him. That's like running a 10K marathon, stopping with 100m of the finish line and promptly declaring you ran the marathon.
But keep on drinking the koolaid in your imaginary world.

Yep they can only add new articles by restarting the process and having another discussion followed by another vote. Something the American population has already soured on.

Oh no, it is actually insanely hilarious. Just when you think Captain Bonespurs couldn't fall down any deeper into the hole he has dug for himself, there he goes tumbling down. Those un-redacted emails show that Trump was warned what he was doing was illegal, that he shouldn't withhold the aid for personal gain. He'll be forever known in history as a peachy stain on our Constitution.

Mueller taught us that saying something a million times doesn’t make it true. Dems had their chance to make a case and they blew it because they cried wolf too many times. The polls haven’t shifted and practically nobody cares now who didn’t care before. I can’t imagine a more boring impeachment.

Attempted impeachment as they stopped themselves before finishing the task. They are so incompetent they can't even walk a piece of paper down the street.

Why do Lefties hate Democracy so much? The people vote for what they want, and they don't like it because they think they should over-ride everyone else.
The left really are the party of the rich elites these days, they have all the money and power and get mad when one person gets a vote and they outnumber them. The only reason they want more mass immigration is because they want to use it to over-ride the votes of the population they have lost control over.
You clearly have no clue into the American political system. 'Lefties' and 'Righties' (which are stupid terms) can at least agree on supporting democracy. No one on either side is against that. When you say 'they should over-ride everyone else' you must mean Trump, as this is his ideology. All 3 branches of our government are equal in power, even though Trump regards his position as superior, which it is not.
The left have a larger amount of middle class, where the right has polar opposites, either extremely rich or extremely poor. The left does not want mass migration, things aren't simply black and white like that. They want an appropriate immigration system, but certainly not a wall. That ***didn't work in Berlin.
Trump won because he offered to bring jobs back to America, increase oil production, reduce red tape on American companies, cut taxes and save America from lunatic socialists / globalists on the left. All of which he is doing.
Trump has done none of those things. In fact, quite the opposite. Many companies have taken their work force overseas, the tariffs have caused incredible financial loss to the farmers of this country, he still has not come up with a healthcare plan to replace the ACA, and the only ones that benefited from his tax bill are the elite rich. Everyone else is paying more income tax annually. He tried to fool his fans by lowering the percentage on a per-check basis, making them feel they are paying less tax, but by the end of the year they are paying MUCH more.

?
Why do you make crap up like this? You got it exactly backwards.
The extremely poor overwhelmingly vote Democrat and the extremely rich lean Democrat when you take into account the self-identified leanings of independents.
See for yourself.

Yep that breaks it down very clearly. Republicans are the party of middleclass workers, Democrats are welfare and elites.
Just look at the guy that tried to pass himself off as "working class", complaining on how Trump took away his $20K+ a year "deduction". Like the most overpaid home depot guy ever.

So looks like Dems are losing again, Senate looking to adopt rules that will let them dismiss the impeachment entirely if the House doesn't bring it to them.
Hmmm ... Senate dismissing impeachment, wasn't there someone here who said they could do that.
By Viciouss 2020-01-06 16:01:12
Uh actually, the Senate is not looking to adopt those rules, one Senator has suggested it and its dead in the water.
All of it.
Hearings, committees, Ukraine, conspiracy theories, Ukrainians, Rudy, Devin, Schiff, Nancy, the whole 9 yards.
I would respectfully ask that you hit preview before you submit, take a few slow deep breaths, reread, consider edits.
