There's a reason that I usually withhold judgment on decisions regarding military operations overseas. Presidents are privy to confidential intelligence reports, and they can't always explain the decisions they make to the American public without revealing their hand to the enemy.
That's the reason I wasn't too hard on Obama for changing his tune immediately after taking office. I figured he was learning really quickly what was really going down overseas and couldn't stick to his campaign promises without screwing up ongoing operations.
