Nobody cares, let it die.

If you really cared about a subject, you would personally change it (like kill the two people who killed that baby, but all you do is "cry" and "get pissed off" which we all know means you don't give a ***)

Don't post in something "caring" if you don't wish to change it.

What is that supposed to mean?

I just want that "Baby" thread to die. In all honesty, its about whinners and "sympothy wishers" who do not give a flying *** about anything. Only "special" thing about this case is that the people got caught.

You honestly think that this is a rare occurance? You honestly think that everyone has never been abused in their lives? Get over it, its a commonplace subject. It will never change until we "evolve" into something outside of the human species.

"Wishing" that she never died won't change the fact that if she did never died, you all would still treat her like ***because, as humans, thats all we ever do to each other.

I'm not a forum moderator or anything, but as goes with the topic name, i think certain people were topic banned from a specific thread so that it might actually die faster.

You just brought more attention to it by making another thread and continuing.

It's a matter of opinion whether or not people consider the thread worthless. The fact that people are commenting and contributing sympathetic, "worthless" replies seems to say that they themselves care and wish to extend a sympathetic gesture, be it in vowing to pay more attention to their children, or even expressing their rage that such a thing could be done--not that it is the ONLY instance of abuse that has occurred, but rather one of very, very many (as you have stated).

Take it easy, Korpg. I know you've heard this countless times, but not everyone thinks like you and you seem to be very well aware of that. What you need to become increasingly aware of is that the opinions of others have every right to be voiced as much as yours do. And that goes the same for every single person who contributes any amount of posts to this forum.

They pay attention to their children, yet the abuse lives on. They may be more "aware" of the abuse, but they still abuse their children (regardless of physical/emotional/intellectual) on a daily basis. Believe it or not, more abuse has been brought to an average child in the USA than what is reported. About 40-60% of that abuse comes from the parent(s) themselves (or guardians, depending on situations). This abuse can come from physical (slapping your child because they were throwing a tantrum) to emotional (ignoring your child when he/she cries, or denying them privaleges because of limited time/space/objects) or intellectual (overexcerting knowledge for kids, or forcing "study time" on them) abuses.

The main problem is, we find it to be the social norms. We "condemn" these parents because they could not control their abuses and over-exceeded the boundries which caused the child to die. Yes, its sad that the child died, but why are we making such a big deal about it? If its that bad, then no child would have a parent because all their parents would be in jail for being parents.

My problem again comes from the fact that people pretend to "care" but in all reality they don't. That thread should have been locked a long time ago for its pointlessness, but people keep it open because they "don't want to look like *** for closing a 'caring' thread."

And those who post on it, outside of me? They don't want to look like *** for "not caring" so they lie to themselves showing "remorse" for something they did not do.

Learn to show care. It does not belong somewhere where it doesn't affect you.

I'm really not seeing where you're going with this. You would rather people not keep the thread alive in order to show that they honestly and genuinely care? And in the same way, your own "realistic" posts are supposed to convey "sympathy"?

Also,

It seems you don't realize that the degree of abuse is what the problem is here. I was smacked on the *** with a wooden spoon (A WOODEN SPOON!!!) when I punched my sister (I was watching Power Rangers and she told on me, ironically >_>;;), and I completely deserved it. Was that abuse? No, I would say it was discipline; and YES, there is a difference. But the thing is, what the hell did that baby do to DESERVE that sort of treatment?? Therein lies the injustice and the rage that people are expressing (and are free to express, by the way).

let me rephrase that.

I'm sorry that the kid died, because if she didn't, we wouldn't be hearing about this stupidity.

And I'm sure you have been accused and punished for something you did not do. Do you think thats fair? You think thats "right?"

When I mean every child suffers abuse, I don't mean on a day-to-day basis. I mean over the period of their childhood they have been abused. So, why would this be any different?

No, what I want to convey is "realization."

You got to realize that A) people who "care" really don't and B) this happens every day, whats the deal?

They don't honestly and genuinely care about anything that doesn't affect them, people need to stop lying to themselves about this sort of idiotic ideal of "human passion."

Sorry I was mistaken. Let me try again.

I didn't know Nihilists that like to pretend they are Realist needed this much attention.

Korpg, you were topic banned how many times from this? Maybe that's a clue that the majority don't want you to use this baby's death as a springboard to some metaphysical discussion. Go troll a different thread.

Well, people are still allowed to post whatever false compassion or rage they'd like to express on the internet, as well as genuine thoughts and concerns and... butthurt and flames, sadly. :/

How can one troll on one's own thread?

If you don't like what I'm talking about, then don't post. I believe you gave me that "advice" many times over yourself, but you seem to be above it all that you can be a hypocrite as much as you would like.

Why would people want to continue to lie to themselves then?

Don't worry, they will probably think of a new rule to topicban people.

"You can't make threads that speak your mind."

or

"You can't form an opinion if it goes against popular viewpoints"

lol, Korpg is so the sole reason Anye was even brought on as a mod. General Scraggle needs more troops on the ground dealing with his INSURGENCY.

If I was the reason why Anye became a mod, doesn't that mean 2 things?

1) I'm a valuable member of this forum who sometimes stray to being a troll

and

2) Just more power for their side since the balance of power was swinging towards mine

A) I'm not "technically" a republican, although I do share some of the same economic ideas of republicans. I'm not a Socialist, like the Democrates are now.

B) If they made a mod position just to "control" me, doesn't that show how powerful my voice is?
